To make amends for one of the most unexpected internet moments of the last decade, Taco Bell is calling on three-time MVP and Denver Nuggets center, Nikola Jokić – whose 2014 draft announcement famously aired during a Quesarito commercial – to finally try Taco Bell and the Quesarito for the very first time. The accidental overlap has since become a viral chapter in sports and Taco Bell lore. Now, Taco Bell is embracing the moment fans made famous, calling on Jokic to finally settle the score and offering a friendly apology for the coincidence that paired the Quesarito’s ad with his draft moment.

The restaurant, located at 205 E. Third St. in the old J. Prime location, is a collaboration between Durant and partner Rich Kleiman's Boardroom Hospitality, Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia and Lobos Hospitality — the Austin-based team behind retro diner Toasty Badger on South Congress Avenue, sandwich shop Manny's and cocktail bar the Powder Room, both located downtown.

WNBA star Paige Bueckers is stepping into entrepreneurship alongside NBA superstar Chris Paul. The two are teaming up to launch a bold new snack flavor called Ragerz under Paul’s Good Eat’n brand, and it comes with a mission that goes beyond taste.

For Bueckers, 21, the opportunity was impossible to pass up. Not only is this the first time a WNBA player has taken an equity stake in a brand owned by an NBA player, it also aligns with her passion for making an impact. “My agent came to me with the idea, and first I’m like, it’s Chris Paul. I’ve looked up to him since I was young… So obviously that opportunity was exciting — to work with Chris, learn from Chris," she tells PEOPLE.

The Grand Rapids Downtown Market is planning to welcome Detroit Pistons NBA Champion Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas next month for a tasting event. Champagne of Champions kicks off on Nov. 20 inside the Downtown Market’s greenhouse on the second floor, 435 Ionia Ave. SW.
The November tasting will highlight four of Cheurlin’s premier champagnes: Brut Spéciale, Rosé de Saignée, Célébrité and Le Champion — each personally introduced by Isiah Thomas himself. The selection of champagne will be accompanied by a curated grazing table featuring artisanal cheeses, charcuterie and gourmet accoutrements.
Foodies who miss the former Middletown eatery “grown” may once again be able to taste its culinary creations here in Connecticut. In May, the organic fast food restaurant announced its launch of a nationwide franchising program. It currently has just one location, in Miami. The eatery is the creation of Shannon Allen and her husband, Ray Allen, an NBA champion and Hall of Fame athlete.
The inspiration for the couple’s business came after their son Walker was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a toddler. The family was often on the road while Ray was playing in the NBA, and they were juggling life with five children. Finding quick and healthy meals for Walker and the rest of the family proved challenging, and Shannon realized there were no fast, affordable options for organic and nutritious food.

Two Bay Area GOATs in their respective lanes are teaming up under one huge roof, the Westin St. Francis in Union Square. Michael Mina, the celebrity chef who gained nationwide acclaim for his San Francisco restaurants, is tagging in Golden State Warrior Steph Curry for two new projects debuting this fall in the hotel. The former will bring the twelfth location of his Bourbon Steak restaurants back to San Francisco, already a hit in Seattle and New York. The latter will open the Eighth Rule, a bourbon-driven bar, per a press release. The two projects will open in October, with both concepts hiring now.

Curry’s project comes to life about two years after releasing his whiskey brand Gentleman’s Cut. MINA Group will run the day-to-day operations of the bar. There’ll be a craft cocktail menu and spirits served neat, plus small dishes.
A new chicken restaurant opened in Rochester Friday, and one of the co-founders may have a pretty recognizable name. Former NBA player Kris Humphries, along with his cousin, Alex, opened up Dave’s Hot Chicken in the southeast part of the Med City. This is the first location to open outside of the Twin Cities, where four locations exist.
