Podcaster Joe Rogan urged President Trump to “stick to the UFC” after Knicks fans booed the president at Game 3 of the NBA Finals — saying sports fanatics will “boo him everywhere else.” During Game 3 Monday evening, the president — sitting in MSG boss James Dolan’s suite — was loudly booed by Knicks devotees while he was shown on the big screen during the national anthem, though there were also some chants of “USA! USA!” at another point. “Yeah, he should stick to the UFC,” the host of “The Joe Rogan Experience” said. “They’re gonna boo him everywhere else.”
Nobody can predict what sports TV is going to look like over the next few months. But it’s a safe bet that Sunday’s race will kick off at least a mini-boomlet of announcers calling games from afar. Joe Rogan may have entered the UFC Octagon last weekend, but Fox is committed to having Joy and Gordon work in a studio for at least two weeks. Last month, Mike Breen said on Real Sports that he expected many NBA games to be called from a studio, too. ESPN executive Stephanie Druley told Sports Business Daily, “If you told me that 90 percent of NBA or MLS had to be done via Bristol, I’d have no issue with it.”

Prediction for his post-playing career: Love: “I’m not going to say he can do anything, but I think he can continue to do what he’s doing with a podcast because I think he has a big reach and can transcend any sport. He can talk to anybody and I’m not going to say he’s going to be like a Joe Rogan, but he can be a guy that can bring on anybody from any walk of life, any background and maybe he won’t get into politics too much, but I think he can go to different sporting events and cover things in a different way and attract a lot of viewers because when he talks it’s kind of unfiltered and uncut and people like the rawness of it all. He’s definitely going to do something where he’s speaking. Because that’s what he does and it draws a lot of people to him. But I know for one thing, he’s going to help my foundation (Kevin Love Fund) in a big way because his story is amazing and people love hearing that, not only from what happened with his parents but also his heart."
