A motion to remand Phoenix Suns player Markieff Morris’ and Detroit Pistons player Marcus Morris’ felony aggravated assault case to a new grand jury was denied in a ruling filed this week in Maricopa County Superior Court. The Morris’ attorneys claimed that the grand jury which indicted the Morris twins and three other men in a January incident had heard false and misleading testimony. Maricopa County Superior Court judge Joan Sinclair ruled that their complaints about inconsistent testimonies were matters for cross examination in a jury trial and that the grand jury hearing had been fair and impartial.
