The Indiana Fever’s 93-58 win over the Chicago Sky last Saturday drew 2.7 million viewers on ABC. That set a record for the most-viewed WNBA regular-season game across ESPN networks and is believed to be the most-viewed WNBA regular-season game in 25 years, since the era when NBC aired the WNBA. The game peaked at 3.1 million viewers.

The WNBA is investigating allegations of “racial comments” directed toward Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese during the Sky’s 93-58 loss to the Indiana Fever in Indianapolis on Saturday.  A report was filed with the league in response to racist remarks directed at the Sky team, specifically Reese, during Saturday’s game, league sources told Front Office Sports. League sources also stated meetings with both teams and WNBA officials are ongoing.

The WNBA is investigating allegations of hateful comments made from the stands during Saturday’s season opener between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, the league said in a statement Sunday. “The WNBA strongly condemns racism, hate and discrimination in all forms — they have no place in our league or in society,” the league said. “We are aware of the allegations and are looking into the matter.”

The statement was in response to allegations of “racial” comments directed toward the Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese by either a fan or fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, said a source briefed on the situation, who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese, the league leader in rebounds, will miss the remainder of the WNBA season with a wrist injury, the team announced Saturday. It was after undergoing a medical evaluation following Friday’s game that Reese was ruled out for the rest of the season, according to the team. “I’m filled with emotions right now that I have a season-ending injury, but also filled with so much gratitude for what is next,” Reese said on social media Saturday.

Is the Chi-Town Barbie off the market? Chicago Sky star Angel Reese and Detroit Pistons player Jalen Duren have sparked dating rumors after they shared videos from a similar vacation spot. On Tuesday, Duren, 20, posted a video of the sunset from an unknown location on his Instagram Stories. The background for the clip appeared to be similar to where Reese, 22, had posted a picture on her Instagram Stories of her laying out in a pink Gucci monokini and pink Chanel shades the day before.
