After spending the past season with the Mountaineers, former WVU guard Toby Okani has entered his name into the 2025 NBA draft. Okani transferred to West Virginia for his final season after spending two years at Duquesne and UIC. In 2024, over 29 minutes per game, Okani averaged 8.2 points, 1.4 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game.
New York Knicks guard Miles "Deuce" McBride played the hero at West Virginia University on Friday. On the "Pat McAfee Show," McBride, who played basketball at West Virginia, was challenged to hit a deep shot to have McAfee's show cover the rest of a student's tuition.

West Virginia University men's basketball forward Sagaba Konate has submitted his name for the 2019 NBA Draft. Konate plans to sign with an agent.
West Virginia University junior forward Devin Williams announced today that he will make himself available for the 2016 NBA draft. “This is something I’ve thought about over and over, and I believe that this is the best decision for me and my family,” said Williams. “I can’t say enough about the three years I have had at West Virginia University. At the same time, I’m grateful to be in this position to be able to fulfill a lifelong dream.” A native of Cincinnati, Williams averaged 13.3 points and 9.5 rebounds this past season, leading the Mountaineers to 26 victories and a ranking of No. 8 in the final Associated Press poll. Williams recorded 16 double-doubles this season and earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Second Team.

The amount of quality undrafted prospects isn't enough to make up a whole third round -- something your's truly has thought about in the past -- but there were quite a few players that should get looks at next month's Summer Leagues in Vegas and Orlando. Among them? West Virginia Mountaineers forward Kevin Jones, New Mexico Lobos forward Drew Gordon, Iona Gaels point guard Scott Machado, Maryland Terrapins guard Terrell Stoglin, Georgetown Hoyas bigs Hollis Thompson and Henry Sims, Tu Holloway of Xavier, Northwestern's John Shurna and Mississippi State big man Renardo Sidney.
