Louis Williams: "We keep talking about (Gregg Popovich). At some point, when do we give credit to Coach (Mitch) Johnson? Like, when do we give him his proper due for being a part of this? Like I love the fact that Pop's involved. I love the fact that he's there. And this's not even a critique. I'm literally asking the question because I just feel like Mitch Johnson should get way more credit than he gets. And I understand the culture, I understand the organization and Pop is like the Godfather. I understand and I respect all of those things. But man, Mitch Johnson is coaching his ass off, but it seems like every time there's a big moment, we kind of give that credit to Pop. If you know what I'm saying? So I'm not being critical, but what I'm saying is at some point we got to shine a light on this young coach who's doing everything that he's supposed to be doing to try to get them back to championship form. Now, I understand that Pop is the overseer and all of that and I and I love it. I'm going to continue to say that because I don't want anybody on my back about this. I just want to shine a light on Mitch Johnson, the way that he's been able to coach and being so young and the impact that he's been able to have. I just would like to see him get more flowers than he does. That was my one gripe about everything."

Louis Williams criticizes Kenny Atkinson's analytics-heavy championship messaging: "And I've said it publicly, man, I love Kenny Atkinson to death. This is one of my favorite people that I've ever worked with in the business. He's responsible for getting me back on my feet in my career after I tore my ACL. We worked side by side every day of the week. But this messaging is just bad, man. I got to call a spade a spade. The messaging was bad. So, you allow a lot of analytical guys into the game and think that's the way to win a championship, then this proved that it's not. It's a great asset to have to combine it with the things that you need to do physically on the floor to win a basketball game, but it shouldn't be your end all be all. I didn't love this message."

Dwyane Wade, in a conversation with another former NBA guard Lou Williams, said he thinks three-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson would be capable of beating some NBA players in a 1v1. "Let me get your opinion on it," Williams began the discussion on the Underground Lounge podcast. "My homeboys were like, 'No professional woman can beat a professional man.' I said they can't. But there are a handful of them that can beat. "You are damn right it is," replied Wade. "There are a few. A'ja Wilson can get a couple. She is smart. One thing about a lot of basketball players, they are not smart."

“You don't know the game outside of pick and roll. Get into a 1-on-1 with someone like A'ja Wilson, who knows how to play basketball, who's got crazy footwork and all that, your a** is gonna get torn up if you don't know the game. This isn't just about being an athlete. You know what I'm saying? Like, 'I jump higher than you.' That's not gonna be the thing. So she can definitely cook," he stated.
One of the most influential hoops voices in sports media will be back in action for the NBA’s pivotal 2025–2026 season. But I want to put this to bed. I didn't sneak out of the bubble to go to Magic City. That's not what happened. They excused me from the bubble to go to a funeral. Doctor is traveling with me. The funeral home was a block away from Magic. I've been staying in a hotel, eating hotel room, service food. Magic got good food. This is my hometown and if you know Atlanta, we eat in our strip clubs. That's where you can find the best food. Cheetah, Magic, so on and so forth. Popping Magic. What they won't tell you is it was eight people in there. All of them were with us.

Louis Williams on Doc Rivers: My experience with him, I always say all the bullsh*t that everybody talk about, that wasn't my experience. Doc saved my career. Doc saved my career at a time I thought I was done. He gave me the keys to the car and he was like, "I don't know what you thinking, but I need you. I need you to I need you to be yourself." And I got two Sixth Man awards and I got all them awards with him. Like Jamal got all that sh*t with him. You know what I'm saying? But then you hear other guys like f*ck Doc this and that.
The inconveniences of playing in Canada have been echoed publicly by ex-Raptors Lou Williams and Rudy Gay. But is the issue more widespread? Temple, who’s also the vice president of NBA players’ association, acknowledged he’s heard the complaints from other players and the union has raised it with relevant authorities within the league. If there’s a way to make the process a little more seamless, they will try to make it happen. “Let’s be clear: it’s the U.S. (customs) that’s making it take long, it’s not Canadian borders,” he said. “But in the grand scheme of things, it’s nothing to deter somebody from coming here.”
Jorge Sierra: Nikola Vucevic passed NBA75 selection James Worthy in scoring yesterday. He's No. 114 all-time now. Also: Devin Booker (age 28) moved ahead of Lou Williams, Terry Porter, Walt Frazier, Artis Gilmore and Rashard Lewis for No. 137. He's in Top 10 all-time trajectory.

Run It Back: “If he had a different mentality, he’d be the best thing we’ve ever seen in the history of the game by far.” 😳 @ Danny Green & @ Lou Williams both believe Kevin Durant has the tools to be the best player ever, but chooses to play the game a different way!

Clutch Points: "I was even hearing whispers that there was a situation where he might have asked or suggested that even DeMar DeRozan come off the bench." Louis Williams on the Kings firing Mike Brown

Louis Williams: The Logo. Damn, RIP Jerry. 💔

Former NBA guard Louis Tyrone Williams voiced his disagreement with football players who criticize NBA players as ‘soft’, arguing that both sports have their challenges. He emphasized that skills like catching the ball, speed, and reading defenses are valuable in football, but shooting a jump shot in basketball is equally difficult, if not more so. “There are p*ssies on both sides… Catching the ball is a skill. Being fast as f*ck, that is a skill. Being able to read defenses and trump their matchup, that is a skill. Shooting a jump shot is way harder than all of that sh*t, man,” Williams said.

Run It Back: "The score was 6-6, nothing should be this serious in the game where it gets under your skin. Draymond [Green], you weren't even a part of that play." @TeamLou23 reacts to Draymond's ejection.
