Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving is joining rapper Common and others for a TV special calling for action following the death of Breonna Taylor. Irving is producing "#SAYHERNAME: BREONNA TAYLOR," which will debut Wednesday at 7 p.m. EDT on the PlayersTv digital and broadcast network. Taylor, a 26-year-old Black emergency medical technician, was shot eight times in Louisville, Kentucky, by plainclothes officers serving a narcotics search warrant without knocking at her apartment on March 13. No drugs were found. Louisville has seen weeks of protests over the shooting and demonstrators around the country have chanted her name.

Rip City has been anticipating this performance since it was announced last week that Damain Lillard would be performing on the music stage during NBA All-Star Weekend. Chicago’s Native rapper Common introduced DAME D.O.L.L.A. “I’m proud to present not only an NBA All-Star, but this is an artist… Show some love to my guy, DAME D.O.L.L.A.,” Common yelled proudly into the microphone. DAME D.O.L.L.A performed ‘Money Ball’ featuring Jeremih followed by, ‘Run it up’ featuring Lil Wayne as Lillard became the first NBA player to perform on the NBA Saturday Night musical stage.

There were plenty of celebrities at Barclays Center night for Saturday’s festivities. The list included rappers Nicki Minaj, Common and Ludacris, singer Rihanna, comedian Kevin Hart, tennis icon John McEnroe, boxer Floyd Mayweather, actors Adrian Grenier and Michael Rapaport and director Spike Lee.
