Ira Winderman: Heat say Norman Powell (personal) is out for tonight's game vs. visiting Hawks. Tyler Herro (ribs) and Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) previously had been ruled out.
The Heat might need to acquire another first-round pick to sweeten its offer. That can be achieved in several several ways. Among them: 1). Try to find a team that will trade a 2026 or 2027 first-round pick to Miami for Andrew Wiggins. 2). Amend the protections on the first-round pick due Charlotte. That first-rounder is lottery protected in 2027 and unprotected in 2028. If Heat waives the protections and Charlotte agrees to accept an unprotected Heat pick in 2026 or 2028, that would free up a third first-rounder to trade to the Bucks.
The Warriors have been linked to other midtier players such as the Brooklyn Nets' Michael Porter Jr. and Miami's Andrew Wiggins, but team sources continue to throw cold water on those ideas. One team source said they haven't and don't plan to engage with Miami about a reunion with Wiggins.

The Los Angeles Lakers have gauged the trade market looking for 3-and-D wing help, with targets ranging from Herb Jones to Andrew Wiggins to Jonathan Kuminga to Saddiq Bey, etcetera. With that in mind, the Lakers have dangled the expiring contracts of Rui Hachimura ($18.26 million), Gabe Vincent ($11.5 million), and Maxi Kleber ($11 million) on the trade market, league sources told HoopsHype.
In addition to Morant, Milwaukee was linked with trade interest in several notable names on the trade market, including Morant, Michael Porter Jr., Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, Jerami Grant, Miles Bridges, Malik Monk, Keon Ellis, and other players. However, with Antetokounmpo out for a significant amount of time, there’s less urgency for the Bucks to act immediately.

The Warriors and Heat have indeed engaged in discussions on a potential Jonathan Kuminga-for-Andrew Wiggins swap. Yet there's a key caveat to add here: It's believed that Miami — if it is parting with Wiggins at all — would prefer to use his salary as part of a deal that brings a star-caliber player back to South Beach. Wiggins' $28.2 million salary, in one obvious example, would help the Heat approach Antetokounmpo's $54.1 million in a theoretical deal with the Bucks. And Milwaukee has long coveted Wiggins, sources say, although that interest has always been expressed previously as an offshoot of the Bucks' efforts to get more help for Antetokounmpo.
Ira Winderman: Norman Powell has been upgraded to available for the Heat. Still waiting on Wiggins.
The Bucks can accept a larger contract with multiple years beyond this season that an opposing team might be trying to get out from under, such as Miami's Andrew Wiggins, who owns a $30 million player option for next season, or Charlotte's Miles Bridges, who will make $22.8 million in the 2026-27 season, team and league sources told ESPN.
As previously reported by HoopsHype in mid December, Miami has gauged the trade market across the league on forward Andrew Wiggins, who’s shooting a career-high 40.2 percent beyond the arc and also averaging 15.8 points. With Wiggins having a $30.17 million player option for next season, it’s unclear whether Memphis has the appetite to acquire the 30-year-old forward.

I’ve heard 8 to 10 years down the road, you want to make a trip into space. Is there a specific spot you're thinking of—or just anywhere? Andrew Wiggins: I want to go somewhere where there are different species so I can just learn and see what else is out there. What we can do on Earth is cool, but I’m sure other places probably have some crazy stuff. Host: Where do you think that is, though? Andrew Wiggins: I don’t know. We don’t know yet. Host: But you’re convinced there’s something? Andrew Wiggins: 100%.
Heat blow out Pacers 142-116 thanks to 56 combined points from Andrew Wiggins, Jaime Jaquez. Pascal Siakam puts up 33 points, seven rebounds, five assists for Indiana.
Miami HEAT: INJURY UPDATE: Tyler Herro (toe), Pelle Larsson (ankle) and Nikola Jovic (elbow) have all been ruled out of tomorrow night's game vs the Knicks. Davion Mitchell (ankle) and Andrew Wiggins (back) or both listed as questionable.
