Free agent guards Trevor Keels and Jahmir Young each had their moments in hopes of earning another contract from the Heat: Keels and Young are unrestricted free agents after ending last season with Miami. Keels closed last season on a two-way contract and Young ended last season on a standard deal with the Heat. But Keels and Young are now unsigned and remain unrestricted free agents despite putting together an impressive summer league.

Ira Winderman: Heat summer roster does not include Keshad Johnson, but does include Myron Gardner, Vlad Goldin, Jahmir Young and Trevor Keels. Of that group, only Gardner presently under contract to Heat. Former Pacer and Net Kendall Brown also on Heat summer roster.
Yossi Gozlan: Miami Heat salary cap situation with Andrew Wiggins opting in, Pelle Larsson opted in, Dru Smith guaranteed, and Jahmir Young opted out. They have $20.5 million under the hard cap to fill five roster spots. It'll be much harder to re-sign Norman Powell without additional moves.

Anthony Chiang: Can confirm that the Heat has declined Jahmir Young’s option for next season. He’s now an unrestricted free agent. It’s unclear whether Young will still be on the Heat’s summer league roster.

Michael Scotto: The Miami Heat will decline the $2.41 million team option on Jahmir Young, sources told @hoopshype . Young made All-NBA G League Second Team, averaging 25.9 points, 8.5 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals last season. He’s played 20 NBA games for the Bulls and Heat in two years.

Shams Charania: The Miami Heat are signing two-way guard Jahmir Young to a new two-year deal, agent Scott Nichols tells ESPN. Young fills the Heat's open spot created by waiving Terry Rozier.
Anthony Chiang: Heat is listing Jaime Jaquez Jr. (sprained right ankle) as questionable for tomorrow's game vs. Cavs. Heat also remains without Vlad Goldin, Trevor Keels, Jahmir Young and Terry Rozier. Rest of roster expected to be available.

Anthony Chiang: Heat says Tyler Herro (left quad soreness) remains questionable for tonight vs. Wizards. He's going to warm up and see how he feels. Heat already without Kel'el Ware, Nikola Jovic, Norman Powell, Terry Rozier, Andrew Wiggins and Jahmir Young tonight.
Anthony Chiang: Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, Nikola Jovic, Keshad Johnson, Jahmir Young and Terry Rozier remain out for the Heat tomorrow vs. Wizards. Kel’el Ware is questionable due to a right shoulder strain he suffered in yesterday’s win.
Anthony Chiang: Heat will remain without Simone Fontecchio (groin), Norman Powell (groin), Nikola Jovic (back), Keshad Johnson (G League), Jahmir Young (G League) and Terry Rozier (not with team) for tomorrow's home game vs. Pistons. Andrew Wiggins (knee) is questionable.

Anthony Chiang: Heat two-way contract guard Jahmir Young will replace the injured Mac McClung in tomorrow’s Rising Stars event during All-Star Weekend. So Heat now has Kel’el Ware and Young at Rising Stars tomorrow in LA.
