NBA Courtside: Draymond Green says he didn’t want to see Oklahoma City Thunder win back to back championships: “You’re going to put on an act and be like, you know, I don’t really care if OKC win again or not. Deep down inside you don’t want to see another team go back to back. Like, we did that. We were the last team to do that, right? Like you want to hold on to some of that.” (Via @DraymondShow)

Dalton Johnson: Definitely interesting that Labaron Philon Jr. yesterday after his Warriors workout said he saw Al Horford early at Chase Center and “he’s been here all day.” Horford has until June 29th to decide on his $6 million player option.

"Do you have a sense for who those teams are, who are the real contenders if LeBron doesn't come back?" Ramona Shelburne: "For me, it's pretty simple. It's either the Lakers, Cleveland, or Golden State. I would be really surprised if it's not one of those three. I think there's other teams that would make sense, but I don't see those as realistic."

Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski outlined the ideal candidate to join the Warriors as they still chase another championship to maximize the tail end of Steph Curry's illustrious career. "I think the obvious answer is someone who's ready to play or he can play right away," Podziemski said Thursday on 95.7 The Game's "Willard & Dibs." "Someone that has experience, is physically mature enough to play in the games right away. I think that's kind of, as an organization, where we're at. We're at the stage where we're trying to win as much as we can. "So I think with the 11th pick, you just got to look for a guy that's ready to come in and make the impact right away."

Warriors PR: GSW Pre-Draft Workout | June, 18: Brayden Burries, G, Arizona Cameron Carr, G, Baylor Anthony Dell’Orso, F, Arizona Barry Dunning, F, Pittsburgh Lajae Jones, F, Florida State Labaron Philon, G, Alabama Hannes Steinbach, C, Washington Bennett Stirtz, G, Iowa Tre White, F, Kansas

Kevin O'Connor says Warriors still covet Kawhi Leonard: [Anthony] Slater goes on to write how 'Trey Murphy is the more obtainable wing for the Warriors to target.' He said 'The Pelicans have clung tightly to Trey Murphy, but league sources tell Slater that New Orleans has been signaling a desire to jump into the first round of the draft.' That last line is 150% true. The Pelicans are trying to get a pick in the top 20. The Warriors are definitely a team that we could see trade the number 11 pick to New Orleans for Trey Murphy. All that said though Tom, I do think the Warriors still want Kawhi Leonard. I still think the Warriors are still going for Kawhi Leonard. The Warriors still want Kawhi. Trey Murphy, as Anthony Slater says, seems to be just the more obtainable guy, but I don't think this Warriors' love for Kawhi Leonard has declined at all.

Run It Back: On a 1-10 scale, Sam Amick thinks the Lakers' chances for bringing back LeBron & Reaves are a 6 👀 "If Austin gets paid... then there's not enough money for LeBron to feel respected, and then I could see him going up the coast to the Warriors."

The Pelicans are known to "want a lot" for Trey Murphy, as one interested team told The Stein Line last week, but they will at least listen. The Pelicans, furthermore, are also known to be very interested in acquiring a lottery pick for next week's festivities. New Orleans, at present, only holds No. 58 at the end of next Wednesday's second round.

The Warriors' pitch, if the door cracks open, would be simple. They can clear room for the full $15.1 million nontaxpayer midlevel -- a team-friendly, low-risk bargain with on-court and off-court financial upside. LeBron James is an obvious top free agent target at that price point. The Warriors could theoretically tack on a second season player option and get Stephen Curry in on the recruitment process, if required. But they haven't knocked on that door because they've been given any indication it can be unlocked.

Speaking during his annual pre-draft media availability, Dunleavy repeatedly praised the depth of the 2026 NBA Draft and expressed confidence that the Warriors can find a player capable of contributing immediately. “I think we’ll get a really good player at 11,” Dunleavy said. “This is a really good draft to be in, especially at 11.”

“I think you’ve got to be careful about overreacting, but the playoffs are the ultimate test,” Dunleavy said. “It’s a good place to see and view kind of where the league is at, where it’s going. We’ve had, what, eight different champions in eight years. Is that right? I’d say the big-picture thing is it’s as wide open as it’s ever been. We can’t make any assumptions that this team is going to do it for the next 10 years. They’re going to be here. You know, injuries, salary cap issues, all those things. I think we’ve got to be careful of that.
