Trentyn Flowers, currently on a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, is drawing interest from several power five college programs, a source told On3. Schools including Kentucky, Michigan, BYU, Kansas, Washington, Texas Tech, Florida, USC, LSU, SMU, Indiana, and Clemson are among those showing interest. Flowers, a 6-foot-8 small forward in the 2023 class, was regarded as a top-25 caliber recruit coming out of high school and originally committed to Louisville. After spending part of the summer with the Cardinals, he opted to forgo college and pursue a professional path, signing with the Adelaide 36ers in Australia’s NBL.
Texas Tech remains aggressive on the recruiting trail to secure future success for the basketball program. This week, On3 revealed the the Red Raiders are targeting elite 2027 point guard Reese Alston, son of former NBA point guard Rafer Alston.
Former NBA player Andre Emmett has been laid to rest in Dallas on Monday, CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reports. The 37-year-old Carter High standout and Texas Tech record-breaker was shot and killed near his home in Old East Dallas last week. Police are still searching for his killers.
The dunks against Eastern Michigan and Kentucky. The block against Princeton. The effort against Texas Tech. Williamson keeps providing these moments consistently which make it hard for the NBA entities stalking him to let that excitement peter out. Even as they try to keep their cool and remain unemotional about draft prospects like Zion, they find themselves getting lost in the highlights and possibilities. “A lot haven’t had the time to truly dig into the minutiae it takes (with evaluating one-and-done draft prospects),” a Western Conference executive told The Athletic. “But those highlights leave you daydreaming too often.”

The Oklahoma State Cowboys lost 65-61 on the road against Texas Tech, but a four-game losing streak is the least of the Cowboys’ problems Saturday night. With six seconds left in the game, sophomore guard Marcus Smart shoved a Texas Tech fan. Smart earned a technical foul for the shove, and his teammates quickly wrapped him up to try and defuse the situation.
