Duane Rankin: Suns coach Jordan Ott said Oso Ighodaro is still day-to-day with the right oblique strain, adding "It looks like he's progressing at a good rate. Seems to be good. We'll see how he comes out of it, but he was able to do a lot more today." #Suns
Kellan Olson: Oso Ighodaro remains doubtful for the Suns tomorrow against the Thunder due to his right oblique strain. No new additions on the injury report. Luke Kennard no longer listed.

Duane Rankin: "Pretty good report overall. It's an oblique strain. He'll be out for sure tomorrow. We hope it's just more day-to-day than long-term. I think we avoided something serious." Jordan Ott on Oso Ighodaro, who will miss Suns home opener Saturday vs. Warriors. Was first diagnosed as a right hip injury. Missed 2nd half Wednesday at Blazers as he grabbed at his right hip late in the first half and checked out the game. Ighodaro sat the final preseason game with hip soreness. Shams Charania: Phoenix Suns center Oso Ighodaro has agreed to a three-year, $29 million contract extension through the 2030-31 season, his agent Erika Ruiz of Primera Sports tells ESPN.

Shams Charania: The Suns are picking up Ighodaro's $2.5M team option for 2027-28, so the extension starts in 2028 and runs through 2031 for the franchise's second-round find who has established into a reliable center.

Oso Ighodaro: “We’re talking about it. We’ll see what happens in the next couple days. Q. It also sounds like you want to be here. Ighodaro: For sure, yeah for sure.”

Kellan Olson: Oso Ighodaro is eligible for a contract extension this year (even though he still has an extra season left on his original rookie deal). Ighodaro confirmed it has been talked about and said "we'll see what happens in the next couple of days."

Duane Rankin: Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Miles Bridges, Dillon Brooks, Collin Gillespie and Oso Ighodaro didn't participate in the full morning shootaround and aren't expected to play in tonight's preseason game against San Antonio. Duane Rankin: Jordan Ott on Suns bigs Oso Ighodaro and Khaman Maluach as Ighodaro will start tonight vs. Pistons: "Remember they're young players, but all these possessions are valuable to us as we evaluate during the preseason into regular season, we need both of them." Said Suns must find "a 3rd" big as Duop Reath and CJ Huntley are in camp. "That's a little bit in the preseason. Who are third big is. Where do we go. We have young wings. Can we play with a non-traditional five a little bit, which will probably end up seeing today if the rotation goes accordingly." #Suns
Kellan Olson: Jordan Ott talked about Kennard's movement shooting today and confirmed Kennard and Ighodaro are already working the pitch-and-catch game that we saw with Gillespie last year. "That's another one Oso tracked quickly. ... Instantly some guys just play with Oso better."

Duane Rankin: "It's going great because we're getting each other better. It's not guaranteed for any of us to start." Khaman Maluach on his battle with Oso Ighodaro for Suns starting center position. On if he's played with 1st unit: "We mix it up. It's not one person with one unit. We mix it up. Trying to see different matchups. 2nd team, 3rd team, 1st team, we mix it up and see what matchups work best or whatever is best for the team." person with one unit. We mix it#Suns
