Shams Charania: Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr underwent surgery to repair a fractured right foot on Monday, sources tell ESPN. Sarr sustained the injury on a contact play during an offseason workout late last week. He is expected to be healthy for the start of the season.
Sources say Peterson's medicals have not raised major concerns with teams, clearing the way for him to hear his name called as a top-two pick. He began the season as ESPN's No. 1 prospect and is the most gifted offensive player in the class. While the season didn't go according to plan at Kansas, where he dealt with serious cramping issues, he has always been viewed by teams as a strong candidate for the pick.

Michael C. Wright: Luke Kornet will be available tonight, per Mitch Johnson.

Ahead of Saturday night's Game 5, Mitchell Robinson was asked about the status of his injured finger as the series shifts to a potential close-out game. “It's straight,” Mitchell Robinson told reporters during the Knicks' media availability. “It's alright. I've got an appointment in the morning. It's alright. Looks well. I'm not worried about it.”
JR Smith: After the 2013 season, I have a surgery on my knee. The Knicks and I were going back and forth on rehab personnel, physicians, or whatever were on holiday, and I didn't rehab. I wasn't rehabbing my knee. I was in consistent pain, and I turned to pills. Took a lot of pills, took a lot of painkillers, and I got into a bad situation. I let this person know that. I was also going through a breakup. I also let this person know that. The information was misused to a point to where it was meant to make me look bad opposed to caring about me as a person. Fortunately, I have an amazing backbone. My mom is the main person who really got me straight, and it it took a it took a while for me to verbally say it because I was of a of a thought process of I couldn't be in this certain situation.

Justin Martinez: Sam Presti says he doesn't think Thomas Sorber will be ready to go for Summer League. But he spoke highly of the way he handled this past season, where he was sidelined due to a torn ACL: "Thomas has really impressed me. We have some experience with some of our younger guys not being able to play in games in their rookie year. He dove into his rehab. His work capacity has impressed me. And, obviously, there are all of the reasons we drafted him. Great feel for the game. He can really pass. He's physical. ... He'll hit the ground running. We're really excited about him."

Joel Lorenzi: Sam Presti says his players had every reason to reference injuries in exit meetings — notes OKC's playoff starters from last season played 11 games together, and that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren played 27 games together. "Not one guy raised that as an issue that they wanted to reflect on."
As Silver detailed even further, the league’s internal data suggests that extended rest might be part of the problem rather than the solution. “On so-called load management, I think that the only place where we see an uptick in injuries is not towards the end of the season when guys have played more games,” Silver continued. “The only place we see upticks is after the All-Star break. … Whether it’s just correlation, or it turns out there’s causation, it may be because (players) are not getting appropriate load during those days they take off.
