Today, Moore said his business interests are valued at roughly $40 million, after he invested $6 million to acquire them. He said he owns two McAlister’s Deli restaurants, has an executive transportation company in Orlando and rents out single-family homes in Indiana and New Orleans, and last year, he invested in a 600-unit multifamily real estate deal in Denton, Texas, near the University of North Texas. His most prominent deal is in Texas, where he is an investor in the development of Dallas Executive Airport. Moore was pulled into that project by his cousin and developer, Rodney Burchfield. “That’s just getting started,” said Moore, who graduated from Purdue with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. “I want to try get nine figures. I want to make way more off the court than I did playing basketball.”

Cuban said that he, for one, would be willing to guarantee those college tuition costs. "I'd rather have the scenario where I work out something with the University of North Texas or the University of Texas at Dallas or SMU or whatever," he said. "And it's just like you're majoring in piano. You're able to focus on it. We work with you and help you graduate. You're able to practice five on five in the summer. You're able to make phone calls. You're able to have a stipend _ or you're paid, actually. "You can get rid of all the hypocrisy, improve the education. Because I think when the whole plan is just go to college for one year, maybe _ or just the first semester _ that's not a student-athlete. That's ridiculous."

Mitchell readily admits that he gave into the gloom of a 12-20 season at UNT and a coaching change, when the proper response would have been to fight through it. "I feel like since our season was so tough, I couldn't get up for the games somewhat," he said. "We had a losing record, so it was tough for us to get up for games, for everybody. At the same time, I tried to be a positive influence each and every game. There's no excuse for that. Effort is yourself and individually. It's really no excuse. I just have to show them that I can give effort now."

When it comes to destination points for pro basketball players, Milwaukee ranks closer to the bottom than the top for most of them. But Tony Mitchell doesn’t really care. Mitchell, a small forward from North Texas State who is one of the more intriguing players in the draft, said he actually hopes the Bucks select him during the June 27 draft. “I like Milwaukee,” said Mitchell, who lived in Milwaukee for about five years before moving to Grand Prairie, Texas. “I was born there and I still have a lot of family living there. “I have two uncles there, I have four aunts there and my grandparents Betty and Wilbert Baker are there. “It would really be nice to play for the Milwaukee Bucks.”
