Fullcourtpass: Iman Shumpert says LeBron James will throw a turnover on purpose to prove you were out of position "Bron kind of holds you accountable like yeah, I'm going to throw a turnover if you're not in the spot I told you to be" (Via @OutTheMudTL, h/t @0xarslan)
Iman Shumpert says it’s time for Wemby to work with Tim Duncan to find a go to move: “He wasn’t ready. I know if they haven’t already, this is your year with Tim Duncan. It’s time to sit down with Tim Duncan for the whole summer and understand how to get to something. How to have a plan that nobody can do anything about… He’s gonna have to watch Dirk, you’re gonna have to watch some Kobe. Go watch some Tim Duncan”
SportsCenter: “This league needs to go back to leaning on veterans. … Towards the end you watched the Spurs struggle.” Iman Shumpert on the role the Knicks’ veteran leadership played in the Finals.
Iman Shumpert: Now, what I will say is me being a team an old teammate of De'Aaron Fox, De'Aaron Fox will kick himself for a while for that fourth quarter. I I'm not sure what happened. I don't mind all game for what everything that was going on. A lot of these plays, De'Aaron Fox knows better. The lackadaisical turnovers, especially the live ball turnovers that led to breakaways. The indecision, the step back threes that he never shoots and never settles for, but he just decided to do it yesterday.
Iman Shumpert had postgame commitments after the Knicks’ wild Game 4 win. He decided to make other plans. The former Knicks guard bailed on an ESPN podcast appearance Wednesday night so he could join the celebration outside Madison Square Garden after the Knicks’ dramatic NBA Finals comeback win over the San Antonio Spurs. Shumpert was set to appear on “The Hoop Collective” podcast but said he instead was heading to Seventh Avenue with J.R. Smith to celebrate with the fans outside MSG.

Iman Shumpert: The Knicks are as good as San Antonio. San Antonio and OKC defend at a level on the West Coast that makes it seem damn near like nobody can match it. If the Knicks were on the West Coast, we'd be saying that they are one of those top teams, too, that can defend. They are a team that if you watch every person that catches, you one have to protect your catch. Two, while the person's guarding you, you have two other people on the elbows, and they're not sitting at the elbow flat. They're sitting at the elbow with their leg up, ready to deny that next pass, and also show a jab at you to where there's no driving lanes available.
Iman Shumpert: . @KingJames shordy ru f*ing kidding me right now? U gone beat Father Time? #playoffs

The NBA world is in the dark about LeBron James' future ... but if the King were to return to Cleveland for a final season, his old teammate tells TMZ Sports it would be "the coolest story." We caught up with Cavs champ Iman Shumpert at LAX this week ... and asked if he wants to see the kid from Akron go home (again) before retiring.
Even though Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor are divorced, the former NBA star is still proud of his ex-wife's recent accomplishments, telling TMZ Sports he's happy to see her doing well. We caught up with Shumpert in New York City this week and asked about Taylor's recognition for her role in "One Battle After Another" -- including a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. Shumpert -- who has had several acting gigs of his own -- didn't hesitate to praise her success. "She did well," Shumpert said. "She did well, for sure." He also said their co-parenting is going swimmingly ... and their two daughters, Iman "Junie" Tayla, and Rue Rose, are doing great.
Iman Shumpert: I think people forget JJ Redick is a coach, but he's a player. So sometimes JJ Reick's line is different than how it would look for if you did that to a Phil Jackson. Like JJ is like a shooter, plays within a system, understands the game from his point of view. You know what I'm saying? He's going to give you guys a little more leeway to say f*ck you to him just cuz he's so fresh from playing. I don't think he's so far removed like like a George Karl get into it with you. You worry about that. A JJ Redick, it's like JJ Redick is such a basketball player, bro. It's like f*ck you JJ. JJ probably be like f*ck you and walk off like but JJ's not going to remember that sh*t. He's still going to drop the play and be a professional. So I don't read too much into that. (…) I don't think it's trouble in paradise.

With that, a former teammate of James’, Iman Shumpert, dropped his take on how he thinks the 41-year-old sees winning compared to making the most amount of money possible. “I think LeBron, if (he) can make it make sense of what you’re going to go do, LeBron will take a pay cut,” Shumpert said on the Run It Back show. “LeBron likes winning, he’s going to make the money.”
Iman Shumpert: All in or all out; we will not have an American MVP for the next five years. Nate Robinson: Oh, that’s… I'm all in on that. I'm gonna tell you right now. Why? Because you got all the Canadians balling, you got the Greek Freak, you got Joker. I don't think there's going to be an American MVP in a while. Shumpert: So no Cade Cunningham, no Anthony Edwards. Robinson: They’ll have to deal with Wemby. I want Edwards to win, but if they play like the World versus USA, I feel like they have the upper hand right now.
Iman Shumpert: If the NBA could expand to one more city, is Seattle a better pick than Vegas? Nate Robinson: All in for sure. Yes. We have better fans. Vegas are all tourists. That's it. That's all it is. Seattle will be sold out every single night. No, hear me out. Shumpert: Again, if you live in Vegas, born and raised. I don't know why that man is talking like that. Robinson: Listen, because I'm from Seattle for one, and I'm a little biased. I know that if they open up the floodgates and say we have a team, we'll be sold out for years to come. We got fans that will put up the money.
Cops responded to a call for a verbal dispute at Iman Shumpert's home last week ... in which a woman claimed the ex-NBA star hit her -- but a separate witness told officers that never happened. TMZ Sports has obtained a report regarding the Nov. 26 incident ... with cops stating they were dispatched to Iman's Atlanta residence around 4:37 AM.
