Lou Williams when Sixers traded Allen Iverson: So, I had 40 on Monday. I had 40 on Wednesday. I had 40 on Friday. Got on a bus. 9 hours drive to Little Rock, Arkansas. I wasn't in my room 30 minutes. I get to my room in Little Rock, Arkansas. 30 minutes somewhere nearby. The GM called my room from the Philadelphia 76ers. He said, "Hey, there is a noon flight. We got to get you to Philly ASAP." I said, "What's up?" They said, "We ain't got time right now, but turn ESPN on." They had traded Allen Iverson. So the one week that I leave to the D-League, AI had got traded. So they scrambled. I get to Arkansas at 9:30. I'm on a flight at 12:00 going to Philly. I get there at halftime. They playing against the Washington Wizards. I played the whole third and fourth quarter and never turned back.

Multiple sources across the league said the Bucks' asking price was enormous, with an executive from a third team describing the Bucks' process as "gauging the market" and their price as "all our draft picks and good young players." The Golden State Warriors offer included four unprotected first-round picks in pursuit of Antetokounmpo, sources said, but never seemed to gain much momentum on a deal. The players the Bucks did seem interested in were younger building blocks such as VJ Edgecombe of the Philadelphia 76ers or Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources said.

Draymond Green: “What stopped my scroll this week was seeing someone say Joel Embiid has now officially missed more games than he’s played. It stopped my scroll because I get tired of people talking and just throwing these things out there. What about his health? And let’s take a step aside from his actual physical health — what about his mental health? He knows how much guys put into this game to be great. You’re talking about a guy who worked from shooting a backwards layup out of bounds 12 or 15 years ago to being the MVP of the NBA. What about him mentally? So, I see people just throw these things around and talk, and it irks me. I saw that, and it stopped my scroll because it made me feel for Joel. I feel for him. Nobody knows what he’s going through and what he has to deal with. And everybody says, ‘Oh man, he got the money. He good.’ No, he’s not. He wants to play basketball. He loves playing basketball.”

What was the first big moment when you realized, “Boy, finally, I’m in the NBA. This is actually happening. It’s real”? Derrick White: Yeah, I mean, the first time I actually had some real minutes. I check in against OKC, and I go to the free-throw line, and I got Carmelo Anthony and Paul George. And I’m from Colorado, and so Carmelo Anthony was basically my whole childhood. So I’m kind of like, “This is amazing that I’m here next to you. I can’t believe it.” So that was kind of my—my eyes are wide open the whole time. I probably turned it over the next play.

Tony Jones: Joel Embiid was on the floor and part of shootaround this morning. He then played and had a workout after shoot. He also worked out Monday. Nick Nurse said he’s come out of each workout well so it looks like he’s trending towards getting back

Adam Aaronson: Sixers just upgraded Dalen Terry to AVAILABLE.

Justin Martinez: Jared McCain on if he has played alongside a big man who can make screening a highlight play like Isaiah Hartenstein: “It’s crazy. When I was in Philly, Joel would do that with Tyrese and I was like ‘Dang, that’s really cool right there.’ So being able to be a part of it is really fun. Playing with Hart, J-Will and Chet, they’re all elite bigs. I’m excited to play with them.”

Tom Haberstroh: The Philadelphia 76ers just did something crazy. First time in NBA history that a team has won consecutive games despite making 10+ FEWER 3s than their opponent in each game. (per @Stathead) And did it without Maxey/Embiid/PG.

Gina Mizell: FINAL: Sixers 109, Blazers 103. That is a good win on the second game of a back-to-back, against a Portland team also fighting for play-in positioning in the West. Quentin Grimes with a season-high 31 points. Justin Edwards with 21. VJ Edgecombe with 18 and a career-high 12 rebounds. Up next: At Denver on Tuesday
