NBA veteran Jeff Green has scored an off-court win, selling his custom-built Miami estate for $15.5 million. While not a record-breaker, the deal still ranks among the priciest residential sales in Pinecrest, where a $19.5 million mansion sale last year set the current high-water mark.

The Houston Rockets forward and his wife, Stephanie, are making a clean fast break from South Florida, parting ways with their seven-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bath home. The property had been listed for $16.4 million.

NBA Communications: The NBA today announced the finalists for the 2025-26 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award. The annual honor recognizes the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on- and off-court leadership as a mentor and role model to other NBA players, and commitment and dedication to team. Current NBA players will select the winner from these 12 finalists (six finalists from each NBA conference): Desmond Bane, Jalen Brunson, Pat Connaughton, De'Aaron Fox, Jeff Green, Jrue Holiday, DeAndre Jordan, Duncan Robinson, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum, Garrett Temple, Jaylin Williams.

KD, can you talk to us about your longevity and how it feels to be on a team with the only other remaining Supersonic in the league? Kevin Durant: Yeah, I'm just grateful, like I said, to be around. Especially to be around Jeff (Green) again—somebody I really admire and love like a brother. Not a lot of people get to play in this league that long. So, grateful for the relationships I've built, and I want to keep it going.
Vlatko Čančar: So we see this car — it’s okay. I’m like, “Maybe we should check out some other cars.” It was kind of beat-up. Nothing fancy. And then they’re like: “Let’s find another car, man... it’s embarrassing to buy this one.” So I’m looking around and there’s this red one, and I’m like: “Okay, maybe there’s something better in the lot.” So we really start looking. But the way they look at cars? They see something that costs $20,000, for example — but they don’t think about taxes, warranty, all the extras. Host: There are like a thousand conditions. Vlatko Čančar: Right. So the price goes up. And then we realize: we don’t even have enough money. Total embarrassment. We’re making millions... And we don’t have money for a $20,000 car. Host: Man... Vlatko Čančar: Then, little by little, someone goes: “I gave mine,” ...and just walks off. And I’m like: “Guys, we can’t do it like this.” So I said: “Alright, me, Jeff Green, DeAndre... all of us who are here — KCP, I can’t even remember who else — let’s just put in more for now. We’ll get the rest from the others later.”

Now, is there any move that you regret not doing?" Wyc Grousbeck "Oh, I’m sure. Well, I do regret trading Perk, to be honest. That was one we all thought about, and there were discussions around the table. And I’ve got to sign off on the trades as the governor, lead owner. And I feel like I got kind of talked into it—but I did sign off. It’s not... you know, we’re all in it. And Jeff Green came back, and then he had a health problem. And—nothing against Jeff Green—he just won a championship, you know. But anyway, our team didn’t feel the same after Perk was gone. So, not everything goes perfect. Not that everything can go perfect—this year, you know, JT lost his Achilles. So yeah... You go for the highs, and you get through the lows, and you have a brotherhood that lasts for life."

As the Rockets brass continue to maneuver through offseason mode — conducting draft workouts, tying up loose ends with exit interviews and prepping for a pivotal summer — they’ll need to address several key potential free agents on the roster. Veterans Steven Adams, Jeff Green and Jae’Sean Tate will be unrestricted free agents as of June 30 — but of the trio, Adams is seen as the clear priority, team sources told The Athletic.
“I want to play as long as I can,” Green told Lowe. “The goal is to get to 20 years, so two shy. Houston has been home for me for the last couple of years, and I want to keep it that way. Hopefully, we can make something work where I can retire there, whether it be 20 or 21 years. My wife says 20 and that’s it. So, I think I know what that is. So, two more years it is."
