There will be even more of a whole in the roster if the Kings trade Malik Monk, which has been heavily rumored this offseason. While the Kings have an abundance of guards, they're in the unfortunate position of that still being a roster issue. Sactown Sports 1140's Kyle Draper stated today on The Drive Guys that there's a veteran point guard who has his eye on coming to Sacramento to help fill the possible gap in the roster. "I know of another guard that would love to come and play in Sacramento. His representative are trying to angle him to Sac. Cam Payne," Draper stated.

DeMarcus Cousins: I had never been to California before. Like my first time in California was when I went to Sacramento. Oh, damn. So, once again, I'm envisioning I'm thinking it's LA. I'm thinking palm trees. And who I don't know if there is a palm tree insect, bro. I'm flying in. I'm all out the window like a I'm like, "Where the f*cking palm trees at?" I'm like I don't see nothing but fields. Just farmland. Like I'm like, "This sh*t look like Alabama." Like, "Hey, pilot, where are the Ferraris and the Lamborghinis and sh*t.” No, not one. Q. And you were in the old, old Sacramento. Cousins: Yeah, not the current one, man.

Marc Stein: Jonas Valančiūnas is traveling to Greece per numerous reports and hopes to be released from his NBA contract after Denver acquires him Sunday from Sacramento to join Panathinaikos. The Nuggets’ consolation: They would gain access to their full MLE.
Valanciunas was initially pleased with the trade to Denver, seeing it as a chance to contribute to a championship contender’s rotation. Per Marc Stein, the trade between the Kings and Nuggets can't be made officially until Sunday. For Sacramento, it's crucial that the trade goes through for salary cap purposes. However, the offer from Panathinaikos presented a different kind of opportunity — long-term stability, a major role, and a team built to contend for the EuroLeague title.
In Sacramento, Brown would field feedback from his assistants enthusiastically, though they had to prepare first. The coaching staff understood any suggestion to Brown would come with follow-up questions — not for the sake of defiance but because their boss wanted to test their preparation. He expects the same attention to detail from his staff that he requires from himself.
