Jake Fischer: Victor Oladipo will be joining the Wisconsin Herd, sources say. He was claimed off waivers by Santa Cruz and traded.
Marc Stein: Will be interesting now to see if Wisconsin’s acquisition of Victor Oladipo makes the Bucks/Herd any more willing to trade Dennis Smith Jr.’s G League rights to the Mavericks’ @TexasLegends affiliate. Wisconsin still holds DSJ’s rights; Milwaukee is in Dallas on Monday night.
Jake Fischer: Sources: Victor Oladipo has signed into the G League player pool. The former two-time NBA All-Star was most recently playing for the Guangzhou Loong Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association, appearing in NBA preseason games this October.
Any interest in playing overseas in Europe? Victor Oladipo: You know, if push comes to shove and that's the last option, we'll see. I'm definitely one of the best. So that's where I belong is the three letters, N. B. A. [laughs]
Did anything come out of your private workout in Vegas with NBA and European teams watching this past July? Victor Oladipo: No, not really. People show interest, but again, with the new CBA, with contracts and stuff, people can only do so much. So time will tell when the opportunity presents itself, I'll be ready for it.

I know you’ve dabbled a bit here on the media side. Can you talk about where your mind has been since you’ve been away from the game? Victor Oladipo: My mind has been within myself. Bettering myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. And understanding who I am and where I am. And getting an understanding of why I became the way I became and why things might have happened the way they happened for me. And choosing to form this new identity and new version of myself.

Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson: Who’s on your DMV basketball Mount Rushmore? Quinn Cook: I would have to go Kevin Durant. I would have to go with Len Bias; I would have to go with Victor Oladipo, and I would have to go with Mike Beasley.

Alex Golden: According to league sources, the Indiana Pacers did watch Victor Oladipo workout in Las Vegas during Summer League with SEVERAL other teams in attendance. However, Oladipo DID NOT have a private workout for the Pacers as reported here. I know this is almost 2 weeks old, but wanted to debunk this rumor after confirming with sources.
Now 33, Oladipo did not play during the 2023-24 season. But he has a renewed mindset and remains motivated to continue his playing career. He rehired performance trainer David Alexander, founder of DBC Fitness in Miami. Oladipo was last playing his best basketball when he was working Alexander on his body and biomechanics. “Yea I’m on the grind,” Oladipo added.

The Cavs will remain opportunistic, always looking for potential improvements. Does an unforeseen maneuver pop up over the next few months? Hard to predict. A source tells cleveland.com that a member of the front office was in attendance for Victor Oladipo’s recent Vegas-based workout. Oladipo, 33, is trying to resuscitate his NBA career, proving to NBA decision-makers that he is healthy and can still be effective.
Victor Oladipo last appeared in an NBA game in 2023 with the Miami Heat, when he tore his left patellar tendon in a playoff game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The two-time All-Star, 33, was part of a well-attended private workout in Las Vegas on Monday morning, with a large contingent of NBA and European teams attending. Oladipo played full-court five-on-five in a group workout of international pros. Multiple team sources in attendance came away impressed, with Oladipo described as being in excellent shape as he pursues another comeback.
Edgecombe’s ability to do that is the reason one scout believes he is better than restricted free agent Quentin Grimes, who’s seeking $25 million per season. One scout said Edgecombe can replicate what Grimes brings on the defensive end and compared the rookie to a young Victor Oladipo. He noted how Oladipo worked on his shot and blossomed into a two-time All-Star before injuries set in. Edgecombe doesn’t strike the scout as someone who is complacent about his game.
Victor Oladipo: In the Finals? So we just going keep playing right? Like its okay right? Like it ain’t happen huh? Like this is just part of it right? But what would this play off run be without Hali? What about Dame what about JT and so many others. I bet we will just blame it on the moment though lol and Hey he got millions right so he will be alright huh? So what truly matters? The Athlete 🤔?. It’s all good though. I promise you im going to be a part of this change. It doesn’t have to be a norm or just part of the game anymore in any sport. We can and will protect the players better. Yall enjoy the rest of the game though. Rest up Hali bro this will make you stronger.
