Knicks center Mitchell Robinson opened up about his mental health after he and Hawks guard Dyson Daniels were both ejected for fighting in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series Thursday night. “Knew something was gone happen,” Robinson wrote in a Facebook post after the Knicks’ 140-89 series-clinching win — and the largest win in a playoff game in franchise history. “My mental just not the same I’m just lost in the world at the moment.” Robinson also reshared his pregame post that said, “Trying so hard to be calm.”
A former NBA center is looking to bring his 7-foot-2 frame to the head of city hall. Greg Ostertag, who played 11 seasons in the NBA, is running for mayor of Mount Vernon. Ostertag is the owner of Tag’s, a sports bar in Mount Vernon. Ostertag is challenging the incumbent mayor, Brad Hyman. “At 7′2″, I’m a giant on the outside, but my heart has always been even bigger when it comes to serving others," Ostertag said on his campaign Facebook page.
Delonte West says he’s 100 days sober. On March 25, a man named Ted Sheely posted a video of West on Facebook. In it, West is wearing an all-black outfit with Jordans on his feet and a chain around his neck, holding a phone and an energy drink — and smiling. “Yeah, I’m out here with my man Ted, you know what I’m saying? Get your shine on,” West says in the video. “We out here in Florida. Uber just pulled up. Cadillac. We out here with Wellness Fitness & Performance. They got me right and tight. Today, I’m 100 days sober,” he added.

Andre Drummond, the former University of Connecticut star and current member of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, has said on social media that he intends to buy the Metro Movies theater in downtown Middletown. Drummond, who is a former Middletown resident, posted on his public Facebook page on March 21 "about to purchase metro movie theater in Middletown." The theater closed abruptly at the start of 2026.
Retired NBA big man LaMarcus Aldridge, a seven-time All-Star, will visit Taiwan for the first time in early April to promote an NBA event, the league's Taiwan website said Monday. During his visit, Aldridge will meet fans at Banqiao Gymnasium in New Taipei on April 4 and 5 during the Rising Stars Invitational Taiwan Regional Qualifiers, NBA Taiwan said in a Facebook post.

Project B—a new global basketball league—officially announced its plans in October to host tournaments across Asia, Europe, and Latin America beginning in November 2026 and running through April 2027. On Friday the league, founded by former Facebook executive Grady Burnett and Skype cofounder Geoff Prentice, announced that it had signed Seattle Storm star—and WNBPA president—Nneka Ogwumike as its first player. Other WNBA players have already signed deals to play in Project B, multiple sources told Front Office Sports. Those same sources said multiple stars are being offered seven-figure salaries starting at $2 million annually, with their earnings for multiyear deals reaching eight figures. In addition, players will receive equity in the league, similar to Unrivaled.
The talks surrounding the NBA's potential expansion into Europe have now reached the highest political circles. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has entered the discussion and called for NBA and EuroLeague unity in his latest Facebook post.
Maverick Carter is no longer involved with the planned international basketball league that aims to disrupt the sport, multiple sources told Front Office Sports. “Project B,” as it has been called behind the scenes for nearly two years, still plans to launch next fall with 5-on-5 men’s and women’s basketball leagues. Led by Skype cofounder Geoff Prentice and former Facebook executive Grady Burnett, the investor group also includes tennis stars Novak Djokovic and Sloane Stephens; former WNBA stars Candace Parker, Alana Beard, and Lauren Jackson; and ex-NFL quarterback Steve Young. The group would not yet disclose the official name for the planned league.
