|Quincy Douby

The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) has a few foreign players that just keep going back to China and making a career out of it. One of those players is former Rutgers University standout point-guard Quincy Douby as he and the Tianjin Lions reached a reported one-year deal on Tuesday. Douby, 30, spent three years in the NBA after college before taking his talents overseas. In Tianjin, he replaces Sebastian Telfair (who turned down a two-year $7 million from Tianjin to signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder) and joins Sheldon Williams as the other foreign player for the Lions.

After the end of the Chinese Basketball League (CBA) regular season, Sagesse reached an official agreement with ex NBA player Quincy Douby. Douby (191-G-1984) joined Sagesse last year in the final 4 where he had 24.9 points and 4.6 assists. Douby is currently under contract with Shanghai Sharks who are competing in the CBA playoffs , he’s expected to join Sagesse officially by no later than the first week of March.

NBA D-League guard Quincy Douby has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association, a source told RealGM. Douby had been the No. 3 pick in the Development League’s draft, and he further cemented himself as a strong call-up candidate with a 20-point-per-game start to the Sioux Falls’ season.
