Though the Warriors were surprised by Wednesday’s news, it makes sense from a financial standpoint. Guard Andrew Harrison, who averaged 15.5 points and 5.1 assists per game for Santa Cruz last season, is expected to sign a deal in China worth roughly $1.5 million. “These teams in China are offering a lot of money, which is hard to turn down when you’re just sitting at home waiting,” the league source said.
