Draymond Green wants to make it clear that Nick Young was a key contributor during the Warriors' title run that year. In Friday's episode of "The Draymond Green Show," the Golden State forward issued a rebuttal to clips he's seen featuring former NBA players Kenyon Martin and Rashad McCants, during which they antagonize Young. Green already had responded to Martin's shots directed at Green himself earlier in the same podcast. "But one thing I want to share with Kenyon Martin and Rashad McCants," Green explained, "you know, a couple of guys who try to attack Nick Young about his NBA championship, is this. I know you guys don't understand what it means to win an NBA championship. And because of that, you guys attack Nick Young because y'all don't know what it takes. So, I'm going to share with you all non-champions what it takes to win an NBA championship."
"And so when you go look at our championship run that Nick Young was a part of, Nick Young was the swing player in the Houston series," Green said. "In Games 6 and 7, Nick Young was one of the primary defenders on James Harden. Nick Young hit big threes. He swung the series for us. Guess what? Job done. When you talk about winning a championship, he swung the series. That's his job as a role player to swing one series. He did that.”
Slime: Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha, is facing BACKLASH for saying that she never wanted kids, she had her own career goals, and her husband doesn’t understand her. Rashad McCants: Nahhh @KillerMike he owe you an apology now!!! I’m not rolling. This is evidence…. She not high. lol.

McCants says he doesn’t know where Durant will land, but says it’ll be the same story where he doesn’t end up leading that franchise to a championship. “We have no idea where Kevin’s going to go and wherever it is,” says McCants of Durant. “They’re going to be excited, and they’re going to think they’re going to win a championship. Then they’re going to get a rude awakening.”
Although the Lakers are a star-driven franchise and had success with the James-Luka Doncic duo, McCants told Basketball Insiders it’s time for Los Angeles to move on. “100% get rid of LeBron, bring in some young assets,” Gil’s Arena co-host McCants said in an exclusive interview. “He still has enough energy to go out there and warrant some good players for him. You get rid of GM Rob Pelinka, you might have to move Austin Reaves. You really might have to really start over completely, because Luka is uncertain whether he’s even going to re-sign.”

While James remains one of the best players in the NBA at his age, McCants argues that the “nostalgia of the storyline” has run its course. “They have to, because the nostalgia of the storyline is depleted,” says McCants of the Lakers moving on from James. “The Disney storyline of father-son, all the points in the world, all that shit is played out. At this point now where we’re looking at, where do the Lakers go after the circus is over? Now that the circus is over, you either have to start over, or you have to bring in new lions and tigers and bears in. They don’t have a pick, they don’t have assets that can be moved that can get quality players. They’re kind of stuck.”

“Anthony Edwards is a monster among monsters,” says McCants in a one-on-one interview with RG. “He’s a real monster. I commend him wholeheartedly. I’m loving how he’s taking the criticism, and he’s adjusting it to his game and it’s making him more relentless. He’s going towards Mike and Kobe, and he’s going away from Durant and LeBron, and I think that’s his best dynamic is to go towards the killers.” McCants says it was no surprise that the Edwards-led Timberwolves ousted the favored Lakers, saying it was the “expectation” that Minnesota would defeat Los Angeles.
Rashad McCants: 'Coach Williams wanted to minimize. The whole thing with them is gatekeeping and controlling the flock. You got to control your players. Matt Doherty scolded me in a meeting. I had a good game. I won the game for us and he pulled me in the motherf*cking meeting and he was like, 'I don't know why you remind me of Michael Jordan so much, but we couldn't stand him. And you come into the gym, walk past your teammates and think you're the sh*t... When I'm thinking he going to tell me good game and he's telling me about how he doesn't like, that I remind him of Mike and he didn't like Mike, and everybody knew it and he would never let me average over 20 points a game because Dean Smith never let Mike do it.'
Raymond Felton to Rashad McCants: “So I tried to be cool for a long time. I never said nothing about you when you did that [expletive] on ESPN. I never even said nothing to you. I canceled interviews because I wasn’t going to address it. But now you’re attacking my brothers. Now you’re attacking a legacy that we built—with your dumb ass—at Carolina. You talking about our coach, who did nothing but be great to us. [Expletive]—you went lottery. He went lottery. He a complainer. So it’s Coach Williams’ fault that you didn’t play long in the league? That’s his fault too, right? I played 14 years. Marv played more. There’s a lot of us who played many years of professional basketball from that team. But you’re the one who [expletive] your career up.
Raymond Felton: Like Theo said—take accountability for your dumb ass. But I’m done with you, bro. I’m done talking about you.” “I tried to give you your flowers, even on top of your [expletive], because you can play basketball—that’s one thing you can do. And you can look stupid, too—that’s another thing you can do. Because you're doing that right now, talking this BS. You think people are liking what you’re saying? ’Cause of course, people like stupid [expletive], man. That’s what sells on TV. That’s what sells on social media. So you think you’re doing something, but you're really looking like a fool, honestly. But you’re getting your money, though. So I ain’t mad at you. Get your money. Do all of that. That’s cool. That’s great. But as far as with us—[expletive]—you dead to me. Been dead to me for real. But dead to me. I would never speak your name again, ’cause you ain’t worth nothing. You ain’t worth my life. You ain’t worth anything, my [expletive]. Straight up.”
