Lmao yeah right 😂😂👎🏽 https://t.co/qoQM03Oxgv

Dane Moore: Thought that might have been the Wolves best game of the season outside of their win over OKC - Had a serious, detailed approach all night - The 3 best players all had good games in the same game (Ant had 33, was potent offensively; Randle had 23-10-4, filling in where Ant needed; Gobert had 13 and 12, was a force all night) - Overcame Gobert foul trouble without cratering defensively - Good ball and body movement for the majority of the night (even against the Miami zone) - Naz and Bones gave real sparks off the bench - DiVincenzo didn't shoot well but clearly impacted the game (was a team-high +24) - Not much from McDaniels or Clark (but MIA doesn't really have a point of attack guy that McDaniels and Clark are typically sent at) Wolves 125, Heat 115

Dane Moore: Mike Conley will miss his second consecutive game with achilles tendinopathy on Sunday against Sacramento, the team says. Anthony Edwards, who missed the Wolves’ last game with right foot soreness, is listed as questionable for Sunday. Bones Hyland, who started in Edwards place on Friday, is listed as questionable for Sunday with the right knee contusion that knocked him out of Friday’s game.

Jon Krawczynski: Bones is questionable with a bruised knee

Anthony Edwards on Bones Hyland, who had 14 points and closed the game: “That's my boy. I've been a fan of him for the last 3 years... Sometimes you can just see, some people are just meant to be a star... I may not know the criteria to being a star. But if I think I do, I think he's one of em.”

During the draft combine that year, the Nuggets interviewed Hyland, and at one point Hyland said he “rapped one of my songs for them.” Ever since that moment, he said, he and Connelly formed a connection. “We just had a different connection, a real close connection,” Hyland said. “... Just that belief he has in me. He’s always had my back. That’s a guy I’m really appreciative of. Every time I see Tim, it’s always a big hug. I’m very thankful for him just believing in me.”

“I learned patience. I learned how to go about life every day. … My work ethic was already up there, but just seeing how hard they work, even as Hall of Famers already, and them being established already, still getting it working every day, staying late after [practice],“ he said. “... I learned a lot, but now I feel like, as it turned me into a man more, I matured more, and I don’t take things for granted.”

Michael Scotto: Update: The Minnesota Timberwolves signed Bones Hyland to a one-year deal, which includes $425,000 in partially guaranteed money, league sources said.

Michael Scotto: Just In: The Minnesota Timberwolves and Bones Hyland have agreed to a deal, league sources told @hoopshype . Hyland has averaged 9.5 points in four NBA seasons combined with the Nuggets, Clippers, and Timberwolves.

I'm told Brogdon has also been on the radar for both the Knicks and the Timberwolves, which (as noted above) are two of the teams that have been monitoring Beasley's status. Word is that the Wolves are also actively trying to work through the financial details involved in re-signing Bones Hyland.

Jon Krawczynski: It will be Bones. May stretch into September, but that's gonna be the play // When do you expect the Wolves to sign a guard, whether it is Bones or someone else?

The Wolves have looked into several candidates for the spot, including Malcolm Brogdon, Cam Payne and Landry Shamet, league sources told The Athletic. However, all indications are that Bones Hyland is the front-runner to get that final spot, league sources said.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are shoring up their roster ahead of the stretch run, converting two-way guard Jaylen Clark to a standard contract while planning to pick up notable free agent guard Bones Hyland. The Timberwolves have agreed to a fully guaranteed, two-year deal with Clark, the 6-foot-4 swingman who has showcased tremendous energy over the past month, his agent Todd Ramasar of Life Sports Agency told ESPN on Wednesday.

After converting Clark on Thursday, the Timberwolves will sign Hyland, a 2021 first-round pick, to a two-way deal, agent Austin Walton of NEXT Sports told ESPN. The move reunites Hyland with Timberwolves president Tim Connelly, who selected him No. 26 overall in Denver, where he was a two-time Rising Star selection. Clark fully entered the Timberwolves' rotation on Jan. 29, and he has averaged 6.9 points and 1.7 rebounds in 11 February games while shooting 47.4% from the field and 44% from 3-point land. He's scored in double figures in three games, with 17, 14 and 11 points.
