KC Johnson: Bulls have released Yuki Kawamura, which Bulls PR confirms is due to a medical condition. Kawamura has been sidelined with right lower leg pain. Coach Billy Donovan will talk to media following Saturday practice. Bulls are off Friday.

Shams Charania: Japanese guard Yuki Kawamura has agreed to a two-way NBA deal with the Chicago Bulls, sources tell ESPN. Bulls finalized the deal with Kawamura's agents at Wasserman to sign the 5-foot-8 point guard amid a strong summer league.
KC Johnson: Jahmir Young waived to make way for Yukimania. Tough break for Young, who scored 37 in one summer league game but overall didn’t fare as well as Kawamura.
This year is no different. Kawamura knows he can make an impact in this league. And he’ll take any opportunity to prove that point, again and again. “I believe I still can play in the NBA,” Kawamura said after his first NBA Summer League game with the Chicago Bulls. “I want to get a contract — two-way, whatever.
