Jorge Sierra: Most shots without a miss in a game in NBA playoffs history 1. Chris Paul: 14 2. Nene and Larry O'Neill: 12 OUTRAGEOUS. Especially as a point guard. At 6-foot. At almost 37.
This list includes a few new names, like Finals MVP Maxwell, while some big men compilers fall off. Other notable recent players who come close to the top 10 include Nene (11th by peak value), Brent Barry (12th), Richard Jefferson (15th), Mike Bibby (18th), and Hedo Turkoglu (19th).
Nene, you’re someone who’s spent a lot of time with John Wall over the years. You know him better than most people. What is something you know about him that others don’t? Nenê: What I can say for four and a half years of playing with John in DC. He’s an awesome person. He’s a humble person who treats people well. Ever since I got traded from the Nuggets to Washington, he accepted me and he’s a great teammate. He’s a fun guy. About his ability and talent, he’s sharp. A great and acute passer, has great vision, he anticipates movement and is fast.

A great and acute passer, has great vision, he anticipates movement and is fast. The big question is the injury that he had and after two years without playing — people will pay attention to that. But for his skill and ability, to finish, create space, dribble, pass and all those, people expect to see that. To play with him and see all those passes, the way he enjoys his teammates and makes other players better, he’s gonna do great things for the Rockets.
You also played with James Harden, another talented guard. Now you get to see them together — what do you think about that? Nene: Both of them! It’s hard to say how things will be, but as a former teammate of both, I enjoyed playing with both of them. That was a nice time, I have friendships with both of them. Good things are about to come. I just hope they play together, trust each other, and build chemistry. All the other teammates will need that chemistry, love that they share, and the energy. When you let the game dictate what you need to do, it’s easy. But to talk about James, after Jordan, he’s the best player that plays his own way. John Wall is so fast, man. He’s a real talent. The kind of player that anticipates moves before they happen and a great teammate.

How would you best describe his style of play? How do you see that translating to a new team and system? Nene: John is complete. Of course, now with the new coach and system, it will open up more options on the court. Handoffs, backdoors, transitions, three-point, post-ups, pick-and-rolls, elbow jumpers. It’s going to be more involved with the players. When you share the ball, when you pass to other teammates, they share the energy and everyone gets excited to play. When you have those types of players next to you of different calibers, it’s a great thing.
Bobby Marks: Atlanta makes it official and has waived Nene. They will incur a $2.6M cap hit this season. His $2.7M salary for 2020/21 would have been guaranteed if he was not waived by Feb. 15.
Adrian Wojnarowski: Atlanta is waiving Chandler Parsons and his expiring $25.1M contract to create roster space to complete four-team trade, league sources tell ESPN.

Bobby Marks: The Clint Capela $14.9M cap hit ranks no. 15 in salary for a starting salary. He is under contract through 2022-23. Nene has a $2.6M cap hit this season. He has a $2.7M non-guaranteed contract that becomes guaranteed on 2/15.
Nenê: 😢 I still can’t believe this is actually true ... My sincere condolences to Bryant family , may the sprit of God bring you the comfort in such tough moment... RIP Kobe Bryant #nbafamily #MambaForever #loveyouKobe
Jared Weiss: FYI for capologists out there because there has been a lot of confusion over this: the joint ruling on Nene’s HOU contract stipulating that likely bonuses cannot be included in trade matching applies solely to that case and is not precedent for the rest of the league, per source.
