Former Toronto Raptors Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady were guests of the Bills and mingling on the field and in the tunnel before Buffalo's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football.
Here’s what he said: “How long do you think this video call is? We don’t have that much time to address all this. They’re not close. They’re not close at all. They only got about two to three guys who are NBA starters. The No. 1 thing they got to do is get talent. They got a bunch of JAGs as I call them. Just A Guy. “They’re not better than guys on Atlanta, Orlando. There’s only probably three guys on that team that are NBA starters. So the No. 1 thing they got to do is get some talent. They got a lack of talent right now. And it’s really unfortunate because we need the Knicks to be competitive. And right now, they’re not competitive.”
Adam Wexler: #Rockets announce hiring of Julian Duncan (@jdhtown) as Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer. He most recently was CMO & Sr. VP of Social Responsibility for the Jaguars. “As a native Houstonian, it is a dream come true to have the opportunity to come back home & join the Rockets.”
Here are FTX’s sports deals so far this year: A 19-year, $135 million naming rights agreement for the Miami Heat’s home to become FTX Arena. A 10-year, $210 million naming rights agreement that changed the name of esports organization Team SoloMid to TSM FTX. No. 1 overall NFL draft pick Trevor Lawrence was signed to a multi-year, multi-million-dollar endorsement deal with Blockfolio, which is FTX’s crypto tracking and management app. The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback reportedly took payment in different kinds of cryptocurrency. A multi-year deal, financial terms not disclosed, to become Major League Baseball’s official cryptocurrency exchange. Aside from the usual signage, social media presence, etc., MLB umpires will wear FTX patches on their uniforms starting with the July 13 All-Star Game. O’Grady: The Charlotte Hornets started it all. They were the leaders. Alexander Julian, the fashion designer, who was kind of an outsider in that category and in that business in 1988, came up with that concept, but that predated me — I wasn’t even there yet. But that was the one that really set the world on fire when it came to teal, and everybody else was an imitator. The Marlins, the Sharks and the Jaguars. The Grizzlies were turquoise, so the Grizzlies were not teal if you look at their color carefully. It’s a different shade altogether.
George Hill has always been a little different as he developed into an NBA multi-millionaire point guard. That’s why it’s not surprising but nonetheless sweet to see that GHill will graduate from IUPUI on Saturday with a degree from the School of Liberal Arts. This accomplishment comes 14 years after Hill enrolled to play for the Jaguars before embarking on what is now a 10-year and counting NBA career. The Cavs rolled past the Raptors in the second round of the playoffs which created a few extra off days, so Hill will be able to attend the ceremonies at Lucas Oil Stadium before joining his teammates to tip off the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday. Not only will Hill be there, but he will be one of two student speakers to address the Class of 2018.
Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey had a statement on his cleats Sunday when his team faced LeBron James’ hometown Cleveland Browns. James saw the move and wanted to show Ramsey some love.
It appears Embiid is dating Olivia Pierson one of the “stars” of the E! show WAGS. Pierson was most recently linked to Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis. It looks like she’s going all-in on Embiid now though. Pierson posted the following picture to her 1.5 million followers on Instagram on Tuesday.
Larry Nance Jr.: Growing up as a kid diagnosed with Crohns Disease, I scoured the internet for an athlete that had made it to the professional level that also shared my condition.. I found David Garrard (@ddg0214 ) quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars and began to follow his career and became his self proclaimed biggest fan.. This past road trip in Charlotte I got to meet and have dinner with my childhood idol.. The self confidence I got from him sharing his story and knowing it was possible to play at the highest level while having the disease we share I could never thank him enough for.. Knowing the way his story lifted me up and gave me the confidence to pursue my basketball dreams is what drives me to put my story out there and potentially be to another kid what David was to me..

Furthermore, my plan to transfer complete control to Gayle is unassailable and designed to provide the long term stability and resources that all franchises need to produce consistently winning teams. It is our determined objective that our fans, our City, our State, and our entire region will continue to join in and benefit from our success. Selling these teams is not part of a solution, rather it is detrimental to those goals. Gayle and I hope everyone enjoyed our win today over the Jacksonville Jaguars and last night when our Pelicans beat the Houston Rockets. We wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year.

Things are going from bad to worse for the Jacksonville Jaguars, easily the worst team in the National Football League--leading to a prominent basketball player to say the team needs to sign him. Bartow’s own Tracy McGrady, who retired from the NBA last month, took to Twitter on Monday and suggested the team take a look at him. “Jacksonville Jaguars need to bring me on in for a tryout at QB or receiver!” McGrady, a seven time NBA All-Star, posted.
Given that backdrop, it's interesting to hear Westbrook explain his interest in a more bloodthirsty sport: football. Westbrook joined the Dan Patrick Show on Friday and was told that Maurice Jones-Drew, running back for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars, thought Westbrook would make a good receiver if the NBA lockout drags on. "Actually, I was thinking about that," Westbrook said. "I might play football. I was pretty good [in high school]." Interestingly, he then went on to suggest that he would excel at a slightly more violent position. "I could make a solid receiver," he said. "But I could make a really nice safety."
