Wolves GM: Matt Lloyd: "The opportunity came up to sign Jonathan Kuminga, which again was the product of many, many phone calls and a lot of time investment. My wife asked me at one point, how many times has he called you? She was referencing Jonathan Kuminga's agent. How many times have you been on the phone with him since the middle of July? So I said, okay, I will look, and we went through my phone and we had 94 phone calls between July 15th to the day we signed Jonathan. Anthony Edwards was really instrumental in recruiting him to come here. We had several conversations with him, his representatives, and from Chris Finch to Tim Connelly to Alonzo Gee, who is on our staff, everything just came together."
Alonzo Gee, who spent eight seasons in the NBA, has signed with the Brisbane Bullets, sources told foxsports.com.au. The athletic wing most recently played for Caciques de Humacao, in Puerto Rico, but is known for his career in the NBA, where he played for the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets, and New Orleans Pelicans.

Marc Stein: Why have the Nuggets not yet completed the 10-day reupping of Alonzo Gee? So they could re-claim Mo Williams, whom Denver waived last week
This one's not exactly a trade item, but there's an expectation in Denver that the Nuggets -- after taking on Mo Williams in a deal with Atlanta -- plan to re-sign Alonzo Gee once Williams clears waivers. Denver can sign Gee to one more 10-day contract before it must decide whether to ink him for the rest of the regular season or let him go.
Albert Nahmad: Nuggets won’t need to release anyone to complete the Mo Williams deal, by the way. Alonzo Gee’s 10-day contract expired yesterday.
