Damian Lillard: “When I came in the league, like Jason Kidd was starting for the Knicks and Grant Hill and Kurt Thomas and Kenyon Martin…it was real older dudes in the league,” Lillard said. “I played with Jared Jeffries, he was 40, 41 or something. Earl Watson was 40 when I played with him. I played with real vets, and it was a lot of stuff I learned, like being a point guard or how to lead from Mo Williams and Earl Watson and Jared Jeffries. And they didn’t even play, it was just the way they showed me how stuff had to be done, I had no choice but to respect the game. I didn’t have – the word I was looking for is entitlement. “
Jon Finkel: Nate Robinson: When we got together he asked me again if I could really jump over him. “Let me show you,” I said. I put him at a spot I'd practiced with Jared Jeffries. I lined it up, walked a few steps back, and then ran towards him and DUNKED RIGHT OVER HIM! “No way you just did that!” he said. “Told you,” I said. “You just have to wear all of your Superman gear. And just so you know, I’m going to wear a green jersey and I have some crazy green shoes from Nike and I’m going to be Krypto-Nate.”
Jared Jeffries spent 11 seasons in the NBA after being a national runner-up with Indiana basketball in 2002, but it seems he is not done chasing victories. On an episode of "The Price is Right" that aired on Monday morning, Jeffries won a brand new car.

Jeffries won the vehicle while playing the One Away game on the show, in which the wrong price for a car is shown. The 6-foot-11 former athlete stood next to his new vehicle, which seemed significantly smaller than him, while the audience gave him a standing ovation. For game purposes, the car was valued at $22,376.

Jared Jeffries, who previously spent time in the Nuggets’ front office, is re-joining the team as a college scout. Joining him as the Nuggets bolster their scouting department is Todd Checovich, formerly the GM of the Iowa Wolves. His official role will be college scout and cap strategist.
Jared Jeffries was Jordan's teammate on the Wizards in the early 2000s and remains friends with him. While appearing on the 'Wizards Talk' podcast, he told an offseason story involving former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker. "We were in Chicago at [trainer] Tim Grover's gym. Antoine Walker pulls up in some Ferrari and he was like he just got it. M.J. was like 'you know what? I'm gonna bring a different color Ferrari every day this week with a matching Jumpman jumpsuit.' Bro, he pulled up in a Ferrari with a matching Jumpman jumpsuit for the whole five days we were playing. That's the kind of swag he had," Jeffries said.
Imagine one-upping someone's brand new Ferrari with a fleet of Ferraris. Jordan had to win whether it was on the court or in life. "Just his swagger that never goes anywhere. It's the realest form of confidence that I've ever seen from a person," Jeffries said.

Jared Jeffries, the former Nuggets scouting director and ex-Knicks forward, told The Post that Emmanuel Mudiay desperately needed out of Denver before his entire career was shot. “I know how tough it was for [general manager] Tim [Connelly] and [owner] Josh [Kroenke] to let him go,’’ Jeffries told The Post in a phone interview. “They did the right thing for the kid. They could’ve held on to him to the point of no return and ruin his career. It’s really good the Knicks trusted what they believed at draft time and got him for a discount. If he’s on top of the world and playing great, you’re not going to get him for that.”
“He’s not a bad shooter — he’s a bad finisher,’’ Jared Jeffries said. “That’s why his field-goal percentage is a big focus. If he becomes a better finisher — something very possible — his whole game transforms. Take out his layups, he’s not a bad shooter. If he’d finish at a 60 percent clip, he’d be 48 [percent] from the floor.” Indeed, Emmanuel Mudiay is fourth-worst in the league in field goal percentage on layups (45 percent). Mudiay also happens to be a good free-throw shooter (80 percent this season).
