Former NBA Star Dwight Howard says his wife is a master of lies and manipulation ... and alleges she tricked him into marriage with false claims about her fertility ... at least according to new legal docs obtained by TMZ. Dwight filed court docs requesting a protective order against Amber -- also known by her stage name Amy Luciani -- claiming they have had a rocky relationship for years … which led to him filing for divorce.

Dan Weiss: Victor Wembanyama ties Dwight Howard with 8 first half playoff blocks for the most in the play-by-play era. Howard had 8 in the first half in Game 1 on April 18, 2010 vs. the Charlotte Bobcats.

Draymond Green: Joker has always — the one thing he has struggled with is length. If you go back and look at when the Lakers were able to beat them in 2020, the only reason they were able to beat them is because they had three guys that they could throw at Joker with length: Dwight Howard, JaVale McGee, and obviously, at times, Anthony Davis. They were able to throw length at Joker — length after length after length — and that’s why they were ultimately able to take the Nuggets down then, but haven’t been able to take the Nuggets down since. So Rudy’s doing a great job. You have to give him credit. In saying that, Joker’s still getting a lot of the shots he wants, but the length is bothering him. But he also can make these shots. So, yes, he could come out and go for 40 tonight. That does not mean Rudy hasn’t been causing him to have a tough time. The length is what he does have some problems with, if he has any problems at all.”

Jason Beede: #Magic guard Desmond Bane is one of only four players in the NBA to play and start in all 82 games this season, per the team. Bane is the first Orlando player since Dwight Howard in 2009-10 to start in all 82 games.

Lou Williams: I’ve had opportunities to play overseas and like lockouts and this and that. But it doesn't even matter. We have this thing in our business called feed the family, right? F*ck what somebody thinking about. Feed the fam. That's why you still see guys that Dwight Howard, top 75 player in the world, still playing. I'm still gonna be in Taiwan. Demarcus Cousins, I'm still gonna be in Mongolia. Feed the family at all costs.

Dwight Howard: Woke up today on the 12th of this month and I figured it’s time to move on from Superman! Im no super human… I cry ! I struggle! I feel like everyone else. Through the lies, the media and the hate I still show love and Smile Through The Storm. But now Im taking off the cape and retiring from all basketball to pour into my family and give back to communities worldwide. I know some of you might think I thought he already “retired” but I didn’t… the game retired me! I still had more left to give ! Yeah I did play professionally for 20 years and Im grateful to be able to say that but I can’t lie seeing these other players still going at it at age 40 inspired me to want to keep trying but now I believe my duty will be to pass it down to the next generation .

Dwight Howard: So Thank you to all my fans and supporters throughout this journey I love and appreciate yall dearly because without yall it would be no me! Also thank you to the Naysayers, the haters, the snakes, and people that came into my life to try to destroy me. Because everytime yall did …it only made me stronger. When my documentary releases this year the world will know the truth about EVERYTHING! Then you will see how the sheltered little boy from college park Georgia who went to the same school from pre-k to 12th grade then straight to the NBA was taken advantage of by the world. But through it all still managed to keep SMILING 🙏🏾😁 & Since I didn’t get a chance to ever have a farewell tour I decided to create a tour not for fans to appreciate me but for me to appreciate them for supporting me all these years and giving me a reason to smile doing what I love Every 12th of the month from now on will be D12 day where I visit cities all over the world and do acts of kindness for random to people to give them a reason to Smile 😊

Most Free Throws Attempted in a Game: He attempted 43 free throws, surpassing Dwight Howard's former record of 39.

Jeremy Lin spent one year on the Lakers during the 2014-15 season, which was Bryant’s penultimate season in the league. During a recent episode of Dwight Howard’s “Above the Rim” podcast, Lin dished on one incident that led Bryant to ice him out for several months. The Taiwanese-American guard recalled a disagreement he had with Bryant during a late-game situation that year. Bryant was supposedly telling Lin to foul intentionally, while then-Lakers head coach Byron Scott urged Lin not to. The conflicting advice kept Lin from fouling right away. Lin noticed Bryant display negative body language toward him over the incident, prompting the point guard to text his superstar teammate after the game. “I texted him, ‘Hey man, I don’t appreciate the body language,’ Lin recounted to Howard. “And he came back with a sharp response, and I came back at him. “It ended cordial, where I ended up saying, ‘I’m not saying you can’t teach me. You’re obviously a hundred times the player that I am. I want to learn anything and everything I can from you. I’m just asking if, could you just say and do it in a way that’s respectful to me as a man.'” According to Lin, Bryant initially responded positively, saying he understood the message and even gave him specific areas to work on. Lin then revealed that Bryant didn’t speak to him “for the next five months.”

Donatas Motiejunas: In the NBA they tried to make me Dwight Howard. And I had the body. I mean I cannot say like Kevin Durant, but no one's trying to make Kevin Durant be Dwight Howard through his career. They were like making him strong in the movements and letting him to grow into who he is. But for me they were like ‘let's make a Dwight Howard out of this guy.’ It's like ‘okay’. So I ended up with a blown disc. End of my NBA career.

Marcin Gortat to Dwight Howard: Nikola Jokic is an unbelievable big man and probably by the numbers, by certain things, he's probably better than you. By the respect and obviously championship and everything, he might be better than you. But I'm always saying one thing: He will not play this game if you were defending this guy (Dwight). They don't understand the defense… Jokic can do stuff offensively but defensively he’s got to stop Dwight! Dwight Howard: That would be hard. Gortat: That will be stupid hard like he will foul out in the first quarter! And people don't understand that until they’re going to play you.
