Law Murray 📘: For James Harden, opportunity is key Cleveland/Darius Garland being tied to this is quite intentional DG hasn't played in nearly 3 weeks All of Harden's trades have targeted an existing "replaceable" guard (K. Martin, LeVert/Oladipo, B. Simmons, R. Westbrook)

“With 15-0 you always are going to say, ‘We’re going to learn. We’re going to learn.’ But are you if you’re going out there winning by 20, winning by 25, sitting in the fourth quarter…?” Mitchell said. “I think now we’re having to gut some wins out, having to have tough losses, seeing different coverages, seeing teams guard you differently, and this is all without DG [Garland] and Max [Strus]. So, when we get them back, continue to take those steps. “Obviously, you want to go 15-0, right. But for myself and for us as a team I’m OK here because this is showing us so many different lessons within the first 15, 16 games.”

Donovan Mitchell: "No, because like I'm not brown like you know when there's being like I said it goes back to being comfortable who you were like I'm I'm not going to do it the same way that he did it. You know what I mean? And who knows maybe we get there sit what do you do six times in a row? Maybe we do that sit for the next six years. Maybe we don't like you know what I mean? But my goal is to find ways to you know we're not the LeBron James Kyrie Irving Cavaliers. We do it differently. We do it with Evan. We do it with myself. We do it with DG. We do it with Max. we do with Jay, all the guys on the roster, and it's just different."

Garland said he played Friday because the Cavs were trailing 0-2 in the series. He didn’t want to discuss his injury. For instance, he was asked how much pain he was playing through and said “none,” which obviously wasn’t true. “I know DG. Obviously, he’s playing through some stuff,” Atkinson said in a nod toward the obvious: Garland is hurting. “Just our ability to get the ball over half court. Game 2, we lost in Cleveland because we really struggled with their pressure. It was great to have him back.”

Bobby Manning: Asked Donovan Mitchell this morning what his biggest takeaway from the #Celtics #Cavs series in May was: "Evan Mobley's growth and improvement. You're seeing how we've gone about our offense this year, it's not just myself or...DG, it's through everybody. Evan's been more aggressive."

Spencer Davies: Darius Garland stresses that Kenny Atkinson has been getting on the #Cavs about sprinting to the corners in transition and getting threes up. Coach wants DG and Donovan Mitchell to take a lot of walk-up triples as well.

Bobby Manning: Donovan Mitchell today in CLE: "Obviously, we have a tall task in Boston ... we can celebrate this for a few hours, but we don't really have time ... I have no doubt Boston will be just as loud and we come home, it'll be the same thing. I was little upset they chanted we want Boston and DG misses the free throw, but it is what it is. It's a lot of fun, going into a hostile environment ... go get one, or two."

Clutch Points: Darius Garland: "Yo, yo, yo... I need some of your juice." Tyrese Maxey: "What juice?" DG: "Give me all your powers right now." TM: "What powers?" Garland knows Maxey has been balling out for the Sixers this season 😂 (via @NBA) pic.twitter.com/HVKU5qtGjs

Rick Noland: Donovan Mitchell (rest) out vs. Nuggets. DG questionable due to thumb

The team's unselfishness is part of the reason Love is thriving. “It gives me a lot of energy, it gives this group a lot of energy and I think the reason all of us are having so much fun is that we’re a big share-the-wealth type of team,” Love said. “We obviously play through DG, JA, and Evan, but outside of that everybody wants to make the right play and we don’t want to let anybody else down. That’s beautiful basketball and winning basketball.
Thaddeus Young: To my brothers moving to new homes I wish you all the best of luck and hope you all get the best opportunities possible. Good luck the rest of the way! All love and respect OP, Hutch, Wendell, and DG! ✊🏾✊🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾💯💯
