Jimmy Butler was yelling at Nuggets coach, not Nikola Jokic

If nothing else, there’s this small solace for the Joker when it comes to all this acrimony: While it certainly looked as if the Heat’s Jimmy Butler was also coming for him during the chaos, when he could be seen yelling ‘Bring your ass to the back!’” and the Twitter folks deduced that he was challenging Nikola to a good, old-fashioned brawl, a source with knowledge of the situation said Butler was actually furious with Nuggets player development coach and former NBA player Stephen Graham.

Chris Dempsey: #Nuggets have added assistant Chris Finch to the coaching staff. In addition the team has added Stephen Graham as player development coach. This is an addition to the already reported hiring of Jordi Fernandez to the #Nuggets staff

At 31, playing overseas will always be an option for Graham, but he’s part of the Milwaukee Bucks’ roster in training camp this season. As much as he desires a contract into the regular season with the Bucks, he wants to settle into a home in the States and avoid the overseas traveling if possible now. “Hopefully, I can make the team,” Graham told RealGM. “If things don’t work out, I got to keep moving. Hopefully, I can stay.”

He scored 15 points in the Bucks’ preseason opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers and has played shooting guard through power forward due to recent injuries to Ersan Ilyasova and Ekpe Udoh. “I’ve been playing pretty decent overall,” Graham said. “I’ve been out of position at the four because we’ve been having some injuries, but right now I’m in a spot where I’m just trying to get in. “It’s been up and down my first time out of the league. I’m just trying to get it back together and find another home, another team.”

NBA veterans Antoine Wright and Stephen Graham both signed in the D-League on Friday, league sources told Ridiculous Upside. They join Kareem Rush, who joined on Thursday, as well as Ridiculous Upside favorite Jordan Eglseder as players who've recently signed in the D-League.

The Nets announced this morning they have waived 6-6 swingman Stephen Graham, whose $1.1 million contract would have become fully guaranteed had he been on the team's roster on Christmas Day, when the NBA season opens. Graham, who signed with the Nets as a free agent prior to last season, averaged 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 59 games (28 starts) last season. The six-year veteran has averaged 4.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 239 NBA games.

If he can make it to Christmas, he'll be fine. But Stephen Graham knows that's hardly a lock. "I’ll know Saturday,'' Graham said after the Nets lost to the Knicks, 88-82, tonight in Madison Square Garden. "It’s nerve-wracking, but it’s part of the business. It comes with the territory. You just never know in this league, though, you know? You’ve got guarantees, ups and downs, ins and outs, but the only thing you can do is stay positive, stay in prayer and let it handle itself."
