Playing days for Nemanja Bjelica are over. On Saturday, he announced his decision via a post on his Instagram account. Bjelica played in the NBA for seven seasons. He was selected with the 35th pick of the 2010 draft, five years before completing the jump at 27. From the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings to the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors, he made his way to 471 appearances, including 15 coming off the bench in the 2022 Playoffs, helping the Warriors win the championship with 2.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game in his final campaign.
Dramatic new updates on the assault involving former NBA player Nemanja Bjelica. The incident took place on 3 February, and Bjelica is reported to be former footballer Nikola Petkovic. In this first video you can see the beginning of the dialogue, where a man heavily insults Bjelica with threats to his family. In this exclusive Blic video, on the other hand, the man is seen taking a scissors to the bar counter and threatening Bjelica again (who remains very calm). A child also later arrives at the scene and the man then puts down the scissors and walks away. Shortly afterwards he is arrested.
Teague, an Atlanta Hawks guard at that time, slapped then-Minnesota Timberwolves rookie forward Bjelica in the face and received no call. "Belly retired this year. Shoutout to Belly. I slapped him in the game. I just slapped him. My fault, Belly. That's my fault. That was some whole s**t right there. I got a turnover, and I just got mad. He was the closest n****, and I just slapped him," Teague said on a Club 520 Podcast.

"He was so mad. He told me that he would kill me," Teague continued. "Belly, Bjelica, whatever you say his name, shoutout to my guy. I had to play with him in Minnesota, we were teammates [2017-18]. As soon as I walked into the locker room, he was like, 'Hey, I was going to f**k you up, brother. I was going to kill your whole family. Don't do that again.' I looked at him and said, 'Shut the f**k up.' He figured out we were joking all the time, me and him came kind of cool, but he was pissed. "I slapped him, and I didn't get a tech, nothing," Teague was surprised by the ruling of that incident.
Despite one of the most discussed move of the offseason, from Fenerbahce to Crvena Zvezda, Serbian veteran forward Nemanja Bjelica is ready to retire as a player according to Teleport. Belgrade side previously announced that Bjelica is out for the team’s first games to a calf injury, and the player has reportedly rethink his future opting to retire instead. Bjelica averaged 2.7 ppg in just 7 Euroleague games last season for Fenerbahce.
After an injury-riddled 2022-23 season, Serbian power forward Nemanja Bjelica officially returns to Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, where he played from 2008 to 2010. The contract details were not announced in the official club release.
Bjelica, the NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors in 2022, parted ways with Fenerbahce on Tuesday morning. Before his departure, he still had a year left in the deal with the Turkish team.
Forced to the sidelines with a calf injury for most of the 2022-23 season, Nemanja Bjelica looking to potentially bounce back seems to prompt a return to Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet. Bjelica, 35, will be joining the training camp of the team based in Belgrade, according to Serbian outlet Meridian Sport.

Kerr likened the additions of Saric and Joseph to Otto Porter Jr. and Nemanja Bjelica for the 2022 championship season, and even to Zaza Pachulia and David West in previous years. “We needed guys like Saric and Cory Joseph who have been through the NBA rigors and understand what it means to be a leader from the middle of the roster and how important that is,” Kerr said, later adding, “Mike really recognized that was an area we needed help, so he went out without many resources and fortified our roster and put us in position moving forward.”
In a post-lunch session at Warriors youth basketball camp, 11-year-old Vanessa Lewis stood and beamed as she asked a very important question to a pair of very important guests: “Have you seen your rings yet?” Nope, answered Nemanja Bjelica and Chris Chiozza. Then, moments later Wednesday, fellow campers Amari Chiefelk and Will McCloskey appeared from around the blue Golden State Warriors partition and handed each man a box containing his sparkling 2022 championship ring.
“I didn’t realize it was going to be that big,” said an emotional Bjelica, who traveled from home in Belgrade, Serbia, via Istanbul, Turkey, to San Francisco for the special occasion. “Probably in a couple more years it will be more realistic.”
