According to Athletiko, 14-year NBA veteran Cory Joseph is close to signing a deal with Vassilis Spanoulis’ squad. The 34-year-old Canadian spent his entire professional career in the NBA, entering the league as the 29th overall pick in the 2011 draft with the San Antonio Spurs.

With two days in between games, Orlando watched film from its 17-point loss, got up some shots and focused on making adjustments ahead of Wednesday’s Game 2. “A better understanding of how we want to execute,” Magic point guard Cory Joseph said when asked what he thinks the team got out of the practice session. “We have a game under our belt to feel out the series. We know the next game is important so we’ve got to come prepared.”

In addition to bringing back centers Moe Wagner and Goga Bitadze along with shooting guard Gary Harris, the club extended forwards Franz Wagner and Jonathan Isaac, and signed free agents Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Cory Joseph. “They did a great job,” Banchero said of the Magic’s offseason moves. “Keeping most of the guys together. Bringing everybody back, for the most part. And adding veteran leadership and guys that are going to come in and help right away.
