The Phoenix Suns have signed guard Jerel McNeal to a 10-day contract. McNeal, whose first name is pronounced Jah-rell, has averaged 18.5 points, 4.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 27 games with the Bakersfield Jam this season. The 6-3 guard scored a season-high 40 points on 16-of-23 shooting for the Suns’ NBA Development League affiliate on March 7 at Austin.

Former NBA D-League standout and Call-Up recipient Jerel McNeal has returned back with the Bakersfield Jam. McNeal played in China earlier this season for Zhejiang Chouzhou and averaged 21.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 15 games. Last season for the Jam, McNeal averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 44 games. He also earned an NBA Call-Up with the Utah Jazz at the end of March.

The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed guard Jerel McNeal for the remainder of the season. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Following the move, the Jazz roster remains at 15 players.
