The game of basketball has taken King and White from Boulder, Colorado, to all over the world. White played for USA Basketball in the 2023 World Cup and on their gold medal winning team during the 2024 Paris Olympics. White and the Celtics also played preseason games against the Denver Nuggets at Abu Dhabi Games 2024. As for King, he had short stints with the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks and in the G League, but of late has played overseas. King currently is a guard for Egypt’s Al Ittihad who opened the 2025 BAL season with a 71-60 win over host FUS Rabat on April 5. “I haven’t talked to him about playing in Africa, but I definitely will,” White said about King. “But I just think it’s amazing that he continues to get better and continues to put so much work into the game. A lot of people that go overseas sometimes lose their love for the game. But I think he just fell more in love with the process and the things he needs to do to keep his body healthy. It’s great to see.”

So, for the last two months, Bey has been hiking in the mountains of Boulder, Colorado, where he rented a three-story Airbnb. Yes, hiking. “I like being off the grid,” Bey told The Athletic last week. “It’s quiet. It’s peaceful.” Bey’s new pastime, though, is part of a bigger plan. He didn’t seek out hiking. That just comes with the environment he temporarily calls home. Bey also didn’t spin a globe, close his eyes and move to whichever state his finger landed on. It was all strategic and picked with basketball in mind. In that world, Colorado is known for its altitude. At higher elevations, breathing isn’t easy. Fatigues sets in quicker. If someone is in shape in Colorado, they’re in shape everywhere.

So he decided to make a purchase to help him bypass them: a new bicycle. Nurkic went up to Boulder, and because he’s a 7-foot man who weighs approximately 275 pounds, had one specially ordered. He bought a black mountain bike. Ever since, he’s become part of the roughly 6.6 percent of Denver residents who sometimes get around downtown by bike.

Former Wagner standout and current Colorado forward Andre Roberson will announce Friday morning in a press conference in Boulder, Colo., whether he will declare for the 2014 NBA Draft. Roberson, who led the nation in rebounding for most of the season and was the Pac-12's defensive player of the year, has given no indication which way he is leaning.

Colorado and shooting guard Alec Burks have scheduled a media-only news conference for 2 p.m. today in Boulder for the Buffaloes standout to announce whether or he will declare for the 2011 NBA draft or return for his junior season. Burks, 6-feet-6, said recently that he will give up his final two years of college eligibility if he receives an indication that he would be one of the first 15 players selected in the draft. NBA analysts and mock drafts project him to be picked earlier than No. 15.
