Four people were arrested Friday in connection with a Thanksgiving incident in which a juvenile male was kidnapped, robbed and assaulted, according to a press release from police. A juvenile was kidnapped at knifepoint on the night of Nov. 24 and robbed of his clothes and belongings, then forced into a Torrington residence where he was assaulted, the release said. He was later able to flee from the house and find help, police said. The police Detective Bureau carried out a lengthy investigation and alleges the incident may have been related to a bad drug deal and resultant revenge, the release said.
Jordan Williams, 26, of 57 Pine St., who is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail. Williams is charged with third-degree assault, breach of peace, third-degree strangulation and risk of injury to a minor. Williams was a basketball star at Torrington High School and played in college at the University of Maryland. He was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NBA draft, but was let go a year later.

Several sources have told ESPNNewYork.com that the Knicks want to add a seasoned power forward, possibly to back up Stoudemire. The top candidates are Kenyon Martin and Louis Amundson, but both players want at least the mini mid-level exception of $3 million or higher. Other fours include D.J. White, Chris Andersen, who played with Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith in Denver, and Jordan Williams, who played for the Nets last season.

The Nets have announced they have acquired six-time all-star shooting guard Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks, in exchange for Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow, Johan Petro and Jordan Williams. Farmar is expected to be bought out by the Hawks and is expected to sign a three-year contract with a team in Turkey. “We are very pleased to add a perennial All-Star caliber player like Joe Johnson to our roster,” said King. “Joe is considered one of the premier guards in the NBA, and his skill and talent level will have a very positive impact on our team.”

The Brooklyn Nets are “very close” to acquiring six-time All-Star guard Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for guards Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow and DeShawn Stevenson and centers Jordan Williams and Johan Petro, as well as a protected first-round pick that came from Houston, according to a league source. The deal, the source said, would be completed whether or not Brooklyn is able to convince free agent guard Deron Williams to re-sign with the team. Williams is entertaining an offer from the Dallas Mavericks as well.
The Brooklyn Nets are finalizing a trade to acquire Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The trade will send guards Anthony Morrow, Jordan Farmar and DeShawn Stevenson and forwards Jordan Williams and Johan Petro to the Hawks, along with a 2013 first-round pick the Nets acquired from the Houston Rockets. Stevenson is a free agent, so he will go to the Hawks in a sign-and-trade deal. Johnson, 31, has four years and nearly $90 million dollars left on his contract. Shedding his contract would give Atlanta immense cap relief and flexibility moving forward.
