Ahmed/The Ears/IG: BigBizTheGod 🇸🇴: Kenyon Martin says he could name 200 players that are better players than Draymond Green: “That man’s individual body of work is cool but I can list 200 players that’s better than Draymond Green, is he better than LeMarcus Aldridge, Al Jefferson or Elton Brand I can go all day”
Zach Klein: per multiple NBA league sources… the Atlanta Hawks are casting a very wide net in their search for a team president. One name is very familiar to Hawks fans…. former GM Danny Ferry. Ferry will interview for the job along with Monte McNair, Calvin Booth, Shareef Abur-Rahim and Elton Brand among others
Marc Stein: Sixers executive Elton Brand is expected to be among the candidates pursued by Atlanta as the Hawks begin their search for a new lead executive, league sources @JakeLFischer and me.

Jorge Sierra: FYI: Tim Hardaway Jr. passed Penny Hardaway in scoring yesterday. Also: Bradley Beal moved past Elton Brand for No. 106 in NBA history.
After that, Hayes said he was escorted to a meeting with Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey and general manager Elton Brand. Hayes said Morey and Brand “apologized for the incident, expressed regret that it happened, and asked me for my version of events. ... They agreed that Embiid’s actions were unacceptable.”
In a statement, Inquirer editor and senior vice president Gabriel Escobar said, “Marcus is an experienced and accomplished columnist who offers sharp and illuminating commentary grounded in his observations. You are free to disagree with what he says, but a physical assault is unwarranted and untenable and we are taking this matter very seriously.”
Grant Hill: Symbolically, the first person I went to speak to formally about the Olympics was Joel [Embiid]. And that was back in fall of ’22, actually a week before their opening night. And I knew that earlier that year he had obtained his French citizenship and we found out that summer he obtained his U.S. citizenship. So, I called up [Philadelphia 76ers general manager] Elton Brand in early October. I said, ‘Hey, man, I got to get an audience with Joel. Can you help facilitate that or come to practice, whatever?’ Shout-out to Elton. He basically connected me and said, he wants you to come to his house.
Sunday evening, Paul George invited the Sixers' brass over to his house in West Los Angeles to make their pitch. The meeting was set for 8:30 p.m. local time, sources said. George was flying back from a vacation in Mexico. Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey was at the ready. So were general manager Elton Brand and executive vice president of basketball operations Peter Dinwiddie, whom George and his family knew well from their time together in Indiana earlier in George's career. But the plane carrying Harris and Dr. J was delayed by weather, and a decision had to be made. George's longtime agent, Aaron Mintz, called him to ask if he wanted to wait. "Of course," George told him.

George and his agent, Aaron Mintz of CAA, met with a 76ers contingent including owner Josh Harris, president of basketball operations Daryl Morey, GM Elton Brand and Sixers legend Julius Erving in Los Angeles, sources said. The Sixers even brought a front office executive, Peter Dinwiddie, who is a familiar face and friend of George's from their years together with the Indiana Pacers, sources said.
Keith Pompey: Despite being listing as a leading candidate for the Charlotte Hornets’ head of basketball operations, Elton Brand does not intend to pursue the opportunity, according to a league source. The 76ers GM signed a long-term extension with the organization around the holidays and is committed to Philadelphia. He’s focused on getting the Sixers in the best position for a playoff run.
Per a source, the Hornets prefer a lead executive with previous experience and the early expectation is for the organization to hire a president as well as a general manager. The Observer has also learned New Orleans Pelicans GM Trajan Langdon and Philadelphia 76ers GM Elton Brand — who are no strangers to the Carolinas — are considered the early front-runners to replace Mitch Kupchak.
