Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson made their red carpet debut Wednesday evening at her inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City. “I have never dated somebody so kind,” the rap superstar exclusively gushed to Page Six of her new romance, while on the red carpet. “This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.” “I just never dated somebody like him before and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”
In an interview with BeBasket, Yabusele revealed that Denver was also in the running. Joining three-time MVP Nikola Jokić and the Nuggets was a serious option, but the opportunity in New York proved too compelling to pass up. “It all happened super fast! As soon as I got the offer, I had to give an answer within two hours,” he said. “On the other side, there was also an offer from Denver. I had to act quickly not to miss the opportunity that New York represents, especially with such a great lifestyle!”
For Yabusele, who previously played for the Boston Celtics before returning to Europe with ASVEL and Real Madrid, the move to Madison Square Garden carries more than just basketball significance. “When you look at New York, you can already see how much the franchise has grown in recent years. They’re conference finalists, the team project is clear and very exciting to me. It’s a very good team that plays well together and is playing for a title! That goal was important to me — I want to play for something. Beyond that, New York is a historic team. Playing at Madison Square Garden is every NBA player’s dream — including mine! It’s a special place, and I’m very happy to be there!”
While streaming with IShowSpeed, Watkins was listing the cities with high tax rates, such as New York and Los Angeles. Giannis then says “a lot of people” have been trying to convince him to play there, prompting Speed to ask if he’s staying in Milwaukee. “Probably. Probably. We’ll see. We’ll see. Probably. I love Milwaukee,” Giannis said before changing the subject and pointing out a local church.

Phoenix and now New York — after the hiring of Mike Brown as the Knicks' new head coach — have expressed interest in trying to hire Darvin Ham away from the Bucks, The Stein Line has learned. Yet those would be considered lateral moves for Ham, who is Milwaukee's top assistant to Doc Rivers. I'm told the Bucks love having Ham back in their midst after his two-season stint as the Lakers' head coach and are determined to keep him in Brewtown unless he secures another head coaching opportunity elsewhere.
Ian Begley: Between Tom Thibodeau’s deal and Brown’s deal, which was noted earlier by @CPTheFanchise, New York has a total of *$70M in committed salary to the head coaching position over the next four years. *This number does not factor in the impact of the offset clause on Brown’s deal and any potential buyout agreement between the Knicks and Thibodeau.
James Edwards III: Knicks summer league update: Jordan Brink will be coaching New York in Las Vegas, per multiple league sources. Brink was on Thibs’ staff and largely responsible for one of the best challenge success rates in the NBA. Good, young coach deserving of the role.
Marc Stein: Update on Phil Handy emerging as a candidate for the Mavericks' coaching staff: It's believed that the Knicks also have interest in Handy for Mike Brown's new staff in New York after they worked together with the Lakers and Cavaliers.
New York went into the initial stages of the hiring process with Brown’s name circled. Per league sources, the Knicks liked Brown’s extensive résumé and the fact that he’s worn many hats in the NBA. Brown’s willingness to collaborate and the leadership qualities the franchise examined were also big selling points, league sources said. New York, led by stars Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, liked that Brown has worked with James, Bryant and Curry.

Ian Begley: Tyson Etienne is signing back with the Brooklyn Nets on a 2-way deal. The NY-native averaged 19.7 PPG & 3.5 APG, while shooting 46% from 3 for Long Island (Nets G League club) last season
Marc Stein: League sources say Denver recently sought permission to interview James Borrego for the top spot on David Adelman’s bench. That request was denied since such a move was deemed “lateral.” The Pelicans naturally granted New York permission to interview Borrego for its HC vacancy.
Beasley was sued in April by Hazan Sports Management Group Inc., a boutique New York-based agency. The firm accused Beasley of failing to repay $650,000 in cash that was given to him as an advance against future marketing revenue from his name, image and likeness, according to a federal complaint obtained by The News.
Hazan wants at least $2.25 million for alleged breach of contract. Beasley was served with a copy of the lawsuit at The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad hotel in New York City on April 21, but has not responded to the lawsuit. That night, Beasley scored nine points as the Pistons beat the New York Knicks 100-94 in Game 2 of their playoff series.
