Justin Martinez: Aaron Wiggins on OKC not getting discouraged by its recent narrow losses: “The first aspect is just realizing you can’t get caught up in the moment or a small sample size of games that might not have gone your way. We’re talking about two losses in a row, but we’re 37-10. … There’s a lot of time that we have to get better. There’s a lot of opportunity for us to continue to grow and learn from our losses and our wins.”

Justin Martinez: Here’s the injury report for OKC’s home game against Toronto tomorrow: Alex Caruso, Isaiah Hartenstein, Ajay Mitchell and Jalen Williams remain out. Aaron Wiggins is questionable with right hip impingement. He’s dealing with the same injury, which was previously described as right groin soreness.

Clemente Almanza: Aaron Wiggins on Daigneault: “Mark is gonna experiment… He’s gonna throw you in there when you least expect it. There’s gonna be moments where you might be ready and he doesn’t go to. And there’s gonna be moments when you’re not ready and he calls you. You gotta be as ready as you can be.”

Clemente Almanza: Aaron Wiggins: “A lot of us who are coming from the G League, two-ways, finding a way to get a role, you had to be able to adapt to different situations… My rookie & 2nd year playing, I was playing like 5-man minutes sometimes. That’s something I took pride in.”

Golden State isn’t the only team employing an opening strategy that eschews their best player, a former-MVP, for an average shot. The most frequent opening attempter for the Oklahoma City Thunder? Chet Holmgren. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has taken nearly 400 field goals this season, second in the entire NBA, but only one of those came in an opening minute of a Thunder game. Chet has taken five, Cason Wallace and Aaron Wiggins three each, and Lu Dort and Isaiah Hartenstein two each. Head Coach Mark Daigneault knows Shai will get to his 30-piece anyway, so he uses the opening action to get the rest of the guys involved.

Brandon Rahbar: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (illness) is questionable tomorrow vs the Wolves. Jalen Williams and Aaron Wiggins remain out. Edited: Kenny Hustle is off the injury report.
