Bennett Durando: With Christian Braun returning tonight, sounds like the Nuggets may rest Spencer Jones so that he’s available tomorrow for back-to-back in New York, per sources. He has one game of eligibility remaining on his two-way contract until Denver can convert him to a standard deal.
Brendan Vogt: Christian Braun has been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow night’s game in Detroit. Aaron Gordon and Cam Johnson are still out.
Brandon Rahbar: Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are good to go tonight vs OKC. Thunder missing Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso and Ajay Mitchell. Nuggets missing Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun and Cam Johnson. Neither team is close to full strength. But both teams have an MVP and 1st time All Star.

Brendan Vogt: David Adelman on Christian Braun, who is doubtful to play tonight: “I don’t think he’ll play…just want to make sure that his explosion - his comfort level is where it should be. Cam Johnson is the same way.”

Adam Mares: David Adelman says Christian Braun participated in parts of practice today, as did Big Val. But added “we’re gonna be patient with CB.”

After returning to the lineup on the road this week, Braun revealed that ligament damage was to blame for the lengthy recovery timeline. “The ligaments in my ankle were ripped,” he told The Denver Post this week in New York. “So that’s what made it tough. I was in a boot for the first three weeks. I was on crutches for a couple weeks. So I couldn’t walk. … I had to get all that strength back. And it’s still a work in progress. That’s pretty clear.”
