“When you cannot walk the street, and it happened at an early age with him, we all realized what was going on because he cannot hide himself under the hoodie like (Kylian) Mbappe, for example,” Medjana said. “(For) Victor, it’s impossible.” Early on in their marketing plans, Camp Wemby leaned into that fascination. The “alien” concept with Nike fell in their lap early, so they went with it. And while the decision to carefully and deliberately roll him out to the world as a complete public figure was in part to respect his priorities as an athlete, it also built the value of scarcity to the mystery that is Wemby. Louis Vuitton has crafted moments around him, often as part of a broader athlete campaign that includes fellow French soccer star Kylian Mbappe and LeBron. He recently starred in a Fanatics commercial leading into the finals and will be on the cover of NBA 2K27.

The 34-year-old NBA star traveled to Milan and Paris for Fashion Week — his first time in Paris, he tells PEOPLE — where he not-so-quietly debuted his new sneaker design in three colors while sitting front-row at shows for Louis Vuitton, Armani and Amiri. "There's no set-in-stone release date, but I guess it just caught some people's eyes walking around in fashion week and they've just been asking questions," Leonard tells PEOPLE of the sneak peek at his new designs.

Los Angeles Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard has several New Balance 480 V2s on the horizon, which he previewed last month at the Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. Leonard made an appearance at a number of runway shows last week, where he was spotted in three previously unseen 480 V2s. He was seen at the Emporio Armani show wearing a reflective white-based colorway before switching to a tonal neon yellow iteration at the Louis Vuitton show.

Give Jaxson Hayes another assist on his career stats ... the Lakers center was seen handing out cash to kids in LA on Thursday night!!! The 23-year-old performed the sweet gesture while outside of a Louis Vuitton event on Rodeo Drive ... after some tykes who were selling candy bars asked him for his business. The best revenge is living well, and Ben Simmons, on the Nets bench for his return to Philadelphia, embodied that adage on Thursday. Simmons wore a black-and-yellow Louis Vuitton Intarsia Football T-Shirt for the occasion that, as Philly blog Crossing Broad discovered, retails for $1,370. It is 84 percent Virgin Wool, nine percent Viscose, five percent Polyamide and two percent Cashmere.
