Fred VanVleet: “The only funny thing is when I was in Toronto and uh like Masai just moved like Batman. Like he’s just like a super boss. So he come in and out and he wasn’t real like active in day-to-day practices and [__] like that. But he was just real executive like. But man, around this time of the year he come in — he’d be there. And he walk around that gym on that phone.” “Man, listen. [laughter] You working out in the morning before practice start and that man walking around the baseline, walking around the gym, working that phone, coming in out of that office. M— is like, ‘Man, somebody getting traded today.’ And more often than not, he didn’t do nothing. Like he was real not — you know, not active at the deadline for my years that I was there.”

On Friday, die-hard Lakers fan Snoop paid a visit to the UCLA Health Training Center, where the team practices, and couldn't help but rave about Luka's new car. "I left my fu**ing keys at home… I woke up in a new Bugatti. Y'all like my new car? They're always standing in front of somebody's car that ain't theirs," Snoop joked. When Luka arrived, he playfully said, "You're Batman now," referencing the Mistral's design, which resembles the iconic superhero's car. The Bugatti Mistral is truly one-of-a-kind. It's the fastest roadster ever built, reaching a top speed of 282 mph (454 km/h) during testing in Germany. With 1,578 horsepower, it can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds.

Charlie Walton: FINAL: Wolves 102, Warriors 97 Massive win from Minnesota's Batmans. Anthony Edwards with 36 points, 28 coming in the second half. Julius Randle with a triple-double (24p, 12a, 10r). Wolves needed all of that. Huge win. Wolves lead 2-1 Next: Game 4, Monday

Anthony Slater: Here’s Draymond Green’s perspective on the Steph Curry injury — said Curry was “deflated” — and the team’s response without him “Robin turned into Batman and what do you call Buddy? Alfred turned into Robin.”

HoopsHype: Jimmy Butler on the Warriors title chances: “I think any team has a chance when I’m on the team. But I know that every team has a chance if Steph is on the team. I get to play Robin. That’s my Batman.”

Last week on The Bill Simmons Podcast, I shared that sources around the NBA believe the 76ers have a real chance of signing Paul George this summer. Although George just turned 34, he’s still a tremendous scorer, facilitator, and defender. As The Ringer’s Chris Ryan aptly described him: “The Robin who plays like Batman, he’s capable of MVP-like play, as well as a myriad of complementary contributions.”

JJ Redick: Just to be clear you went through a list a number of your teammates and you didn't mention Kobe and that's because Kobe's not an Alfred, right? He's not an Alfred like you were talking about the guys like me who were like the ‘quote-unquote’ role players. Shaquille O'Neal: The crazy thing about him is I wanted him to be Alfred, but he didn't want it, he was like ‘nope, I'm Batman’, I’m like ‘no, I'm Batman. No, I’m Batman. I'm Batman, I’m Batman… and it worked to our advantage because when you got two guys that want to take over that's 60 points right there, right?

Let’s put it this way. Whatever Billionaire Bruce Wayne leaves in that little pit he dug when he was out camping, that’s the level of crazy some of the theories we’re seeing have become. Today David Wilson and Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald floated the following at the 3:30 mark of their “Heat Check” podcast: I don’t even know if I buy it 100 percent, but someone that has knowledge of what’s going on, they’re not even convinced that Portland wants to trade Damian Lillard at this point. It almost feels like they’re trying to find a way to maybe change his mind or delay this and see if Dame goes, ‘Well, I’ll just be part of this.

LaMarcus Aldridge just got a new massive back tattoo featuring an image of the Joker ... and check it out -- it's so seriously awesome!!! The former NBA star hit up Andres Ortega and his Onder Ink team last month to get the piece done ... and after sitting under the needle for 10 hours, most of the backside of the hooper's 6'11" frame was completely covered in ink. On the bottom of the tattoo, Aldridge got Batman's nemesis tatted because, according to Ortega, the former San Antonio Spurs forward said there was a time in his life when nobody believed in him -- and this was his way of laughing at those detractors.

Batman is James' favorite superhero. He has a life-sized replica of the mask prominently displayed in his office and has said he'd like to play the Dark Knight in a movie one day. Unlike other superheroes, Batman doesn't have any official superhuman abilities. He makes up for it with his brain, technical prowess, determination and ability to stay one step ahead of everyone else. Though it helps to have a fortune, like Bruce Wayne, James has spent millions on his body over the decades.
Luka Doncic was ready to go but with him resting in the closing minutes, Goran Dragic had to be Batman again. The captain of the Slovenian national team made a big three that decided the 104-103 overtime win over Turkey in Istanbul.

The Clippers are expected to contend for a championship with Leonard returning after missing all of last season due to a torn right ACL. Wall said he is thrilled to be joining the most talented roster he has been a part of in his career. "I don't have to do it every night, I don't have to be Batman every night for us to win," Wall said on Saturday at the Las Vegas Summer League. "That's the ultimate goal for me is [at] this part of my career, I don't want to have to be the Batman every night to try to win. On our team that we have, I think anyone can be Batman."
