Josh Lewenberg: To sum up NBAers in for Canada this summer: SGA, NAW, Barrett, Brooks, Dort, Nembhard bros, Mathurin, Olynyk, George, Miller Out this summer but in for this cycle: Edey, Powell Didn’t commit: Murray, Sharpe, Wiggins Committed but not selected: Lawson, Banton, Houstan, Prosper
Josh Lewenberg: Rowan Barrett, GM of the senior men’s team, and the program’s new head coach Gordie Herbert are announcing Canada Basketball’s player pool for this summer’s FIBA World Cup qualifiers. RJ Barrett is in attendance for today’s press conference.
Josh Lewenberg: Asked Bobby Webster if they're open to talking contract extension with RJ Barrett this summer (he has 1 year left on his deal). He said they keep that stuff private but they've had good (general) communication. "He's under contract so that decision can also be at the end of the season"
William Lou: "I want to be here for the rest of my career, I don't ever want to leave. I don't have any problems openly saying that. "That's out of my control. I have done my part on the court this year, and I hope things work out that way." RJ Barrett speaking from the heart about wanting to be a Raptor forever

Josh Lewenberg: Barrett on Barnes: “I think he shut up a lot of talk & I’m happy he was able to do that because, man, that’s a winning player. Just because he’s not a guy that comes out & tries to get 30 every night does not mean that he’s not one of the best basketball players in this league”

Josh Lewenberg: Barrett: “We always believed we could play at this level. Obviously, this loss hurts, but I think it also shows the rest of the league, the rest of the world what we’re building here. When you see the Toronto Raptors, you’re gonna have a dog fight.”
Danny Cunningham: The NBA’s Last 2 Minute Report had two incorrect non-calls on it in overtime. - A defensive three seconds should have been called on Collin Murray-Boyles at the 1:46 mark of overtime. - RJ Barrett took longer than five seconds to inbound the basketball at the 33.7 mark of overtime.
In the locker room after, RJ Barrett said Rajaković didn’t call a play. In Barrett’s words, his coach was comfortable to “live or die” with Barnes and Barrett making the right basketball play. “Call me crazy, call me psychic, but I saw this one coming tonight,” Rajaković said. “(I was) talking to (the) assistant coaches before the game, and I was planning (after-timeout) plays for (the) end of the game to get RJ in those situations. And it’s surreal.” To be clear, this was not one of those plays. Barnes read the play, reacted, and Barrett did the only thing he could. “I make nothing the whole fourth quarter, (the) whole overtime,” Barrett said. Before the shot, he had gone just 2-for-12 since halftime, scoring just six points. “So for that shot to drop — yeah.”

Josh Lewenberg: Darko said he envisioned RJ Barrett knocking down a big shot in this game. “Call me crazy, call me psychic, but I saw this one coming tonight… It’s surreal.” “I know it was (in the air for) half a second but it felt like an eternity”

Michael Grange: It's only Game 6 and 'just' the 1st round, and it took only one bounce. But RJ Barrett just hit the biggest 3 at Scotiabank since Kawhi needed four bounces to put the '19 Raps in the ECF. Huge moment for Mississauga Kid. Raps win 112-110 in OT, force G7 on Sunday in Cleveland.
