Ryan Wolstat: Wol-stat of the day: RJ Barrett and A.J. Lawson are the fifth and sixth Canadians to play for the Raptors in the post-season. Joining Cory Joseph, Chris Boucher, Khem Birch and Dalano Banton.

Michael Scotto: The Boston Celtics and Dalano Banton have agreed to a two-year deal, league sources told @hoopshypeofficial.bsky.social . Banton has averaged 6.7 points in 14.3 minutes per game in five NBA seasons with the Raptors, Trail Blazers, Clippers, and Celtics. Deal negotiated by Aaron Turner of Verus Team.

KeithSmithNBA: If Boston signs Dalano Banton today (they can sign him today or tomorrow), they'll finish about $11K under the luxury tax. At the trade deadline, Brad Stevens said that the front office group of Mike Zarren, Dave Lewin & Buddy Scott had timed and planned all the moves out to finish under the tax.

KeithSmithNBA: There's Boston's 15th player for the postseason. Banton was well-liked with the Celtics from his prior stints. Gives the team an additional ballhandler/wing in a "break glass" situation in the playoffs. Wouldn't be surprised to see Banton stick into next season too.

Charles Bassey is now on his second Ten-Day contract with the Celtics — that contract expires on April 3rd, and his future in Boston is uncertain. The Celtics are required to have 14 players on their roster, so they’ll have to sign someone once Bassey’s contract expires. Bassey is an option, or the team could go with someone else, such as a former Ten-Day player like Dalano Banton. For now, he’s working hard to stay ready in case an opportunity emerges. “You just gotta come ready to walk, man,” Bassey said. “You never know — there might be opportunities. So you just gotta come ready to just work, show the coaches and the guys you’re ready to work and help the team any way you can.”

Bobby Krivitsky: After signing John Tonje and Dalano Banton to 10-day deals, the Celtics are $8,603 dollars under the luxury tax. When these 10-day deals expire, they’ll go another 14 days without those roster spots filled. Then, on March 14th, they’ll sign Max Shulga to a 10-day and sign a veteran to a prorated rest-of-season minimum veteran contract.

Noa Dalzell: Bringing back Dalano Banton makes sense for a few reasons. He's somebody who won't rock the boat/has tons of relationships in the locker room/organization. Plus, he can be a solid emergency backup ball handler.

Michael Scotto: The Boston Celtics plan to sign Dalano Banton to a 10-day deal, sources told @hoopshypeofficial.bsky.social. Banton just completed a 10-day deal with the Clippers. The 26-year-old guard has averaged 6.7 points in 14.5 minutes in five seasons combined with the Raptors, Celtics, Blazers, and Clippers.

Keith Smith: Dalano Banton's 10 Day contract with the LA Clippers has expired. Banton can sign a second 10 Day deal with LA. Following that, to keep Banton on the roster, the Clippers would need to sign him for the remainder of the season.

Law Murray: Update here Dalano Banton will wear #45 for Clippers and will be available to play today in Minnesota.

Michael Scotto: The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to a 10-day contract with Dalano Banton, league sources told @hoopshype. The 26-year-old guard has averaged 6.8 points in 14.5 minutes during four NBA seasons combined with the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, and Portland Trail Blazers.
Marc Stein: The Mavericks have waived Dalano Banton, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Dennis Smith Jr. Their @TexasLegends affiliate holds the G League rights on Banton and Robinson-Earl and Dallas remains in talks with Milwaukee to acquire Smith's G League rights from the Wisconsin Herd.

Marc Stein: Dalano Banton had no shortage of overseas interest but held out for an NBA opportunity. Dallas' roster is realistically full but (as with Jeremiah Robinson-Earl) it gets Banton's G League rights. Dallas is also still working to obtain Dennis Smith Jr.'s G League rights from the Bucks.
