Sources across the league strongly believe that Orlando, which is about $5 million into the luxury tax, will make a move to get under. Moving on from guard Tyus Jones' expiring $7 million deal would solve that, but not the massive money crunch coming next season, when Banchero's extension kicks in. (The Magic are already projected to be well into the luxury tax in 2026-27 with just 10 players on the roster.) And if Orlando doesn't move on from Jonathan Isaac's non-guaranteed deal, it will be a second apron team.

Doncic recently said the NBA Cup courts pose a safety issue. Between the design and such concerns, what are players’ actual feelings about the courts? Jonathan Isaac, Magic forward: “I would say (they’re) a little bit of a distraction, and that’s just me personally. Minnesota’s court was like you could see the colors coming off the ground onto the players’ jerseys and stuff (on TV). That’s just a little much. I feel like if we tone it down just a little bit, it’d be better.”

For the first time ever, Bhutan is hosting four National Basketball Association (NBA) stars—an unforgettable moment that’s set hearts racing and basketballs bouncing across the country. Kevin O'Connor: Orlando’s interesting. You mentioned them. I’ve heard they’re open to trading Cole Anthony and Jonathan Isaac with a first-rounder for an upgrade. I’m just doing the math in my head. Getting Lauri Markkanen for those two salaries is close financially. But do you have too many 6'10" shot creators?

Bobby Marks: Jonathan Isaac has earned a $2.6M bonus. The bonus is for playing in 70 games or more. The 70 games played this season is 1 more than in the previous four years combined. The bonus is not included in the extension he signed last offseason and has no impact on the salary cap/apron in 2025-26.
