Tim Bontemps: Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George has a grade two right hamstring strain, sources told ESPN. He’s expected to be reevaluated in two weeks. George has had a breakout season in his third year in the NBA for the Jazz, averaging 23.6 points and 6.1 assists in 54 games for Utah.

Once Williams was off the court, a number of Jazz players rewatched the play with some of the Jazz coaching staff and screwed their faces into grimaces when seeing the injury and what caused it. “Obviously devastated for Vince,” Keyonte George said. “Everybody’s gonna have their own opinion (about the play), but can’t really look into it too much. These plays, just running down the floor ... just a freak accident, honestly.”

Andy Larsen: Keyonte George is out vs Miami tomorrow due to his sprained ankle. (Kessler still out with shoulder surgery). Still no one else on the injury report besides those two.

Shams Charania: The Jazz make a major swing for Jackson and team him with Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, Walker Kessler and more. The move signals a full rebuild for the Grizzlies around its promising young core and now as many future first-round picks as any team in the NBA.

Andy Larsen: Both Keyonte George and Brice Sensabaugh are available and will play tonight vs. San Antonio.

Grant Afseth: Final: Mavericks 144, Jazz 122 Klay Thompson: 26 PTS, 1 REB, 6 AST Naji Marshall: 22 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, 3 STL Jaden Hardy: 19 PTS, 1 REB, 5 AST Brice Sensabaugh: 27 PTS, 5 REB, 1 AST Keyonte George: 17 PTS, 3 REB, 3 AST Dallas (16-26) and Utah rematch on Saturday.

In the postgame of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 123-112 Monday home loss against the Jazz, Mitchell offered his praise to Keyonte George for a big-time performance to lead his team. For the Cavs star, the Utah sensation has to be named an All-Star. “I want to highlight the Jazz. They came in there and outplayed us. It started with Keyonte George, who deserves to be an All-Star," Mitchell said. "Young fella that I know personally, and I’m excited to see his progress just from last year to this year.”

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” That was Will Hardy’s first response when I brought up the fact that lately people had been comparing Keyonte George’s third season to Donovan Mitchell’s third season. “He’s got a lot of sayings,” George said with a laugh when I told him what the Utah Jazz head coach said. “But when it comes to that type of stuff, he’s real good on keeping you grounded.”

“When you’re compared to guys like that — I mean he’s an All-Star level player every single year — it gives me a boost of confidence," George said. “It doesn’t put more pressure on me, because I know how old I am, I know how much room I got to grow, and I got an organization that I feel believes in me and is behind me. I’m grateful that I’m starting to get that kind of recognition, but Don, he’s done so many great things for this organization, and I’m not even close to that.”

Andy Larsen: Jazz beat the Cavs 123-112. The duo of Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen continues to be really, really impressive... they both shot 8-16 tonight in leading the Jazz to a win. The win moves the Jazz to a three-way tie in the tank race for now in the 7/8/9 slots.
