Brad Rowland: Pacers injury report for tonight against the Hawks is extremely busy. OUT - Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, Ivica Zubac, Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, TJ McConnell, Furphy, Sheppard QUESTIONABLE - Obi Toppin DOUBTFUL - Larry Nance Jr.
Dustin Dopirak: Obi Toppin upgraded to questionable on the injury report for tomorrow. Zubac, Haliburton, McConnell (and of course Sheppard and Furphy) still out.
Tony East: And the Pacers now say that Obi Toppin is out tonight. So that’s Haliburton, Zubac, McConnell, Toppin, and Sheppard out from there expected (ish) rotation tonight.
Toppin can see the wisdom in the restriction considering the Pacers are 17-58 and have been eliminated from postseason contention with the NBA's record and that he doesn't quite feel all the way back yet. "It's not frustrating," Toppin said after a practice last week. "Obviously, we're doing it for a reason. I trust coach's judgment always. He's been doing this for a long time and we have the best trainers in the world. Whatever they say, I'm going to do. I feel good out there. I know I had like 20 minutes (against the Lakers). I felt really good, but I'm still getting back. I don't feel like I'm 100 percent back yet. I'm still getting back, getting my feet under me and still getting that feel."

"When I'm not thinking about it, I have to just trust it more than what it feels like, if that makes sense," Toppin said. "I feel like I'm expecting it to hurt, but it hasn't hurt or I haven't felt anything. It's a mind thing, just getting out there and just playing and trusting my foot."

Tony East: Rick Carlisle thinks that Obi Toppin will be available tonight vs the Clippers.
Myles Turner: “I couldn’t tell Tyrese, Pascal, Obi, TJ, or any of those guys what was really going on at the time because, one, it’s basically a breach when you’re in active negotiations. And two, I couldn’t show my hand. If I told them what was up, then all of a sudden it gets back to the front office like, ‘Oh, Myles, you’ve got this going on,’ and that could mess up my whole free-agency process. And mind you, this was my first time ever being a free agent—an unrestricted free agent. So I had to cherish that opportunity to choose, and I was going to take full advantage of it.”
Tony East: Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, and Ben Sheppard are out tonight, Carlisle says. Aaron Nesmith, TJ McConnell, Obi Toppin, and Ivica Zubac all playing. Jalen Slawson and Taelon Peter will be active.

Dustin Dopirak: Carlisle says Andrew Nembhard will play. T.J. McConnell, Aaron Nesmith and Obi Toppin will not play. Toppin has not been on the injury report in the last 24 hours but obviously, he's coming back from a foot injury.
Law Murray: John Collins (neck strain) has been ruled out for Wednesday vs Pacers. Ivica Zubac (ankle, lottery) will not play in the Pacers’ visit to Intuit Dome. Former Clipper Kobe Brown is available. Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith, Pascal Siakam questionable. Obi Toppin probable.
Dustin Dopirak: Asked Rick Carlisle how Obi Toppin came through his first game. "He's fine. He played eight minutes. You and I could play eight minutes. I don't know in what league, but we could play eight minutes."
Dustin Dopirak: Rick Carlisle on Obi Toppin: "Just the reaction was the crowd was heart-warming. ... It's clear this is going to be a slow process of getting him graduatlly back up to speed."
