Brad Rowland: Pacers injury report for tonight against the Hawks is extremely busy. OUT - Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, Ivica Zubac, Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, TJ McConnell, Furphy, Sheppard QUESTIONABLE - Obi Toppin DOUBTFUL - Larry Nance Jr.

Ira Winderman: Simone Fontecchio (illness) is the lone player on the Heat injury report for Friday night vs. visiting Pacers. For Indiana, out are: Tyrese Haliburton, T.J. McConnell, Ivica Zubac, Ben Sheppard, Jonny Furphy, with Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith listed as probable.

Grant Afseth: Final: Mavs 121, Pacers 105 Kyrie Irving: 24 PTS, 1 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK P.J. Washington: 20 PTS, 13 REB, 3 BLK Max Christie: 16 PTS, 4 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL Naji Marshall: 15 PTS, 4 REB, 6 AST, 3 STL Pascal Siakam: 23 PTS, 3 REB, 3 AST Tyrese Haliburton: 18 PTS,6 REB, 7 AST Andrew Nembhard: 16 PTS, 2 REB, 5 AST, 1 STL Dallas (1-1) hosts San Antonio on Saturday to end a back-to-back.

Most of the Pacers' core is the same -- Haliburton, Siakam, Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith -- but Ivica Zubac was brought in to replace the departed Myles Turner in a trade deadline deal that ended up costing Indiana the No. 5 pick in the draft. Team sources say the Pacers are confident that the deal will help reopen their championship window. They also acknowledge Zubac, who plays closer to the basket, will provide different strengths than Turner, a center who stretches the floor from 3-point range. "We have a great coach who figures things out," Buchanan told ESPN. "That's a strength of his. If things aren't going well, and we aren't playing well -- or [Zubac's] not fitting well, he adapts."

Marc Stein: As we’ve been reporting for several days, Nembhard has strong interest from Denver and some other yet-to-be-disclosed teams … many of whom would have to create an open two-way contract spot to sign him.

The Hawks have 17 players under contract after adding Dort and Nembhard, so they must subtract two by the time the season starts. Nembhard fills a need for a third point guard and seems unlikely to be the odd man out. Guard Buddy Hield is still on the books for $9 million but does not appear to be in the team’s plans, while guard Devin Carter (acquired in a salary dump from the Sacramento Kings) and forward Mo Gueye (on a non-guaranteed deal but out three to four months after surgery for a broken foot) are other potential casualties. Another trade, of course, is always possible. Atlanta also still has Bird rights on Kuminga that could be used in a sign-and-trade.
Josh Lewenberg: The starters are done for the night, with Canada up big. SGA: 26 points in 27 minutes, 4 assists, 2 steals/2 blocks, 9-14 FG, 7-8 FT Nembhard: 23 points in 27 minutes, 4 assists, 9-11 FG, 5-7 3P Brooks: 15 points in 22 minutes, 7-12 FG

Josh Lewenberg: The Canadian co-captains, SGA & Brooks, have been great but Andrew Nembhard's been the best player on the floor tonight. 23 pts in 22 mins, 9-11 FG, 5-7 3P (including a nasty step-back just now). Told us the other day he was itching to play after an early start to his offseason.

Tony East: Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard has been named to Canada’s Senior Men’s National Team training camp roster ahead of upcoming FIBA Men’s World Cup Qualifiers.

“We talk a lot about just staying with the process,” Nembhard said. “I think it’s the competitiveness, bringing that energy every night, kind of when the season’s getting to the end, and it’s already out of (playoff) contention. It’s something you’ve got to work on. It’s only going to make us better for next season, having that competitive energy when it doesn’t really matter.”

Dustin Dopirak: Pascal Siakam ruled out for Sunday’s game against Cleveland. Left ankle sprain the listed reason. Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, TJ McConnell also out. Ben Sheppard and Jarace Walker questionable
