A uniform Michael Jordan wore for 17 games with the Chicago Bulls during the 1992-93 NBA season was sold for $2.623 million, including buyer's premium, at Heritage Auctions. Jordan was shown in the jersey on the cover of the Oct. 18, 1993, issue of Sports Illustrated. Photo-matching services MeiGray and Sports Investors Authentication noted that this is the only Jordan uniform of which they're aware of to be matched to any season of the first Bulls three-peat.

“The Personal Collection of Bill Walton,” which launched yesterday and will be open for online bidding through June 11, has much of what any Walton fan would expect. Now, you can add a ‘flamin hot' Cheeto that resembles his Jumpman logo to that list. .... Only 32 people bid on the item, and it was sold at a final price of $8,113 including buyer’s premium. While Jordan's Cheeto failed to sell anywhere close to the Charizard and Harambe shaped Cheeto, Goldin hasn't shut the door on capturing people's attention through Jordan shaped Cheetos.

A 2003 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Exquisite Rookie Patch Autograph LeBron James card sold for $1.159 million, including buyer's premium, at Goldin Auctions on Saturday night. It's the second James RPA from this set to eclipse the $1 million plateau with Goldin Auctions in five weeks. In the same auction, Caitlin Clark's 2024 Panini Prizm WNBA Signatures Gold Vinyl Prizm card -- numbered 1-of-1, receiving a perfect 10 grade with a 10 autograph grade from grader Professional Sports Authenticator -- sold for $366,000, including buyer's premium.

The 2003 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection -- one of the most lucrative NBA sets of all time, featuring RPAs of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and James -- features base Exquisite Rookie Patch autographs numbered to 99, parallels numbered to the rookie's jersey number and a rainbow parallel numbered 1-of-1. The $1.159 million James card is numbered to 99 while the James RPA sold five weeks ago -- for $1.22 million -- is numbered to 23. According to population reports, there's no James Exquisite Rookie Patch Autograph in the base, parallel or rainbow versions with a higher grade than the 9.5 grade the $1.159 million James RPA received from Beckett Grading Services.

A piece of basketball history sold for a lofty price on Tuesday. A Miami Heat jersey worn by LeBron James in Game 2 of the 2013 NBA Finals sold for $1,016,000 on Sotheby's auction house. The jersey was sold at the sixth-highest price of all time, per Sotheby's. The white No. 6 jersey is special for several reasons. Obviously, James wore it against the San Antonio Spurs on the way to a second consecutive championship, but he was also wearing it for one of the most iconic blocks in NBA history.

Though the jersey sold at an expensive price point, it's still not the most expensive James jersey ever sold. In fact, it's not the most expensive jersey that James wore during that series. In 2023, a James game-worn jersey from Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals sold for $3.68 million. Once James retires, some of his other game-worn jerseys will likely sell for even more than that.

$17,675: The amount of money generated thus far in auctions staged by former ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski, now the GM of the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team. The auctions held on the new Daps Bounty platform were largely former iPhones and NBA event credentials he used while still at ESPN. Wojnarowski is still accepting bids for video calls and dinners with him. The money will go to St. Bonaventure’s NIL (name, image, and likeness) program. The move was the latest in a series of unconventional efforts by Wojnarowski and the Bonnies to raise additional funds in a college basketball landscape increasingly dominated by power-conference schools.

Following the San Antonio Spurs Dec. 27th win over the Nets, a little Spurs fan was eager to exchange jerseys with Victor Wembanyama. He even held a sign asking Wemby to swap jerseys with him. Wemby was kind enough to join the young fan and snap photos of the cute moment. However, the young Silver and Black fan decided not to save it and keep it safe. Instead, he is letting Goldin Auction House sell it to the highest bidder. That same jersey is up for auction, starting at $10,000.
